We decided to go to Nucci's for dinner because we like to give business to local establishments. At 6:20, we were seated. The waiter came out at 6:40 and took our drink, appetizer, and entree order. We received our drinks 15 minutes later. We were waiting so long for our appetizer that the waiter came out and said he could bring the soup/salad because the orders were all so backed up. After being there for an hour, the appetizer was finally brought to the table. At 7:55, I went over to the owner, Nick, and told him we had already been waiting an hour and a half for our meal and we have other plans we had to get to. We told him we would like to pay for our drinks and appetizer. The waiter came out and said that our entrees were being put on the tray and would be right out. So, we sat back down, and the food was brought out. The prime rib was cold and dry, the filet mingon was overcooked and barely warm, and baked potatoes were cold. We explained to the waiter how the food was, and he went to get the owner. When we told the owner, he became very rude, accused us of lying, and told us we had to pay for the entire bill of $124, even after being unsatisfied. When we told him we would pay for the drinks and appetizer, but not the awful entrees, he grabbed the plates off from the table, spilling it all-over the table and rudely told us to get out, and leave. We again offered to pay for what we already had. Yelling and swearing at us, he threatened to take our license plate number and call the police if we left after he kicked us out. So we decided to call the police because we didn't want to be accused of not paying for our drinks and appetizers. Webster police arrived, and we explained the situation. They told us that because we did receive the main entree at the table that we had to pay the bill in full, which we did not eat because it was served improperly. We should have left when we had the chance. The owner forced us to pay in full for a meal we didn't have. This was a horrible experience. The owner of this business has stolen our money, and he is a thief. We thank the Webster Police officers who came to settle this matter. They were professional, polite, & honorable. If you are considering going to Nucci's, definitely reconsider. The owner is greedy, and this establishment probably won't last based on our experience and the many others we have now read on other reviews. We will be paying attention to reviews more...
Read moreThis was by far my worst experience at a restaurant!I called and made a reservation 2 weeks in advanced and was told to call back a week before to confirm how many guest were going to be in my party. I told them anywhere from 10 to 15 and when I called a week before I was told that there was no reservation under my name. I told him it was originally at 6:30 but I switched it to 7pm since there was no reservation on record. I also confirmed that it was going to be 15 people and the guy on the phone agreed and said it shouldn’t be a problem because it’s a Monday. On the day of the reservation someone called me to confirm and they were rude on the phone I told the guy some people said they couldn’t make it so it might be less than 15 but he can still set the table for 15 people and he was very rude about it. I arrived to the restaurant around 6:50 and no one greeted us we waited around and someone finally said we can go to the dining area to be seated. The owner finally came and rudely told us that we can sit at the table while we wait for the rest of the party. As my party arrived no one came to the table to start taking orders we were sitting around waiting for someone for over 20 minutes. The owner then came over to the table and rudely said we close at 8pm we were surprised that they close at 8pm because online says 9pm. Another 10 minutes went by and my friend asked when will someone be over to take our order and the owner rudely said they didn’t come over because he was waiting for “you people” to arrive and proceeded to blame the slow service on Covid and not having enough staff. I would have not been upset if the owner wasn’t rude to us, I would’ve respected him saying he didn’t have enough staff to accommodate my large party. We were treated so bad that we had to leave and find another restaurant to go to. I am disgusted with how we were treated and talked to that night and I will never recommend this...
Read moreEDIT** I visited for a second time this time brought my husband and daughter. We made reservations. When we arrived there was another party waiting. I didn’t mind the wait because I really liked the food last time. While I waited I noticed a man go behind the bar and make some special coffee. The way he was preparing it was really interesting to me so I watched. A young lady that was working came behind the bar and asked the man a question. He turned to her put his face about two inches from hers and screamed at her while waving his hands on either side of her head. I instantly felt disgusted by the way he was treating this person. I told my husband what I had seen and I decided that I wanted to leave. I waited a little while longer and when the man came to seat us I let him know that I was leaving because I had witnessed him verbally abusing that young lady and he then decided that he would verbally abuse me also. He started waving his hands in my face and when I walked out he followed us out into the parking lot screaming at me. He was telling me I shouldn’t be watching what he’s doing that she’s just a worker and if she doesn’t want to get yelled at she should just do her job right. Then he told me to go put a bad review on Facebook because he was the owner, he’s old school and he does what he wants. So here it is. Needless to say even though I really enjoyed the food my first visit I’m really disgusted by the way the owner treats his staff and that he thinks it’s appropriate to scream at people. Humans deserve basic courtesy and dignity, even workers……. My daughter and I visited for dinner. This was my first time coming in. The food was all delicious. Our waiter Steve was so charming and attentive he made it a wonderful experience. We had potstickers for an appetizer, my daughter had the chicken parmigiana that was enormous and I had the Brazilian lobster tail. Delicious...
