Upon getting here I counted 8 ppl in the kitchen area, It took at least 3 minutes of me waiting at the counter for someone to contact me. The cashier was very polite and explained the potential combo I could be getting with my order so that's one positive about my visit. After placing my order I then proceeded to wait currently 26 minutes for my food. Multiple ppl who ordered after me have their food, and no they weren't pickups or ppl who called ahead, I listened to them order and then watched them served their food. One guy who ordered the same sub as me after me has already eaten his food and left. I've been coming here since they opened this location years ago and the level of service varies so much. I've worked in and managed pizzarias (just pizza) before and I know rough time estimates of how long it takes to make different items, shouldn't take this long to make a steak sub and a side of poutine. Just a quick edit took 30 minutes for me to get my food. Honestly that's unacceptable. Fries were cold and soggy sub was warm but definitely not fresh, calling back to have my...
Read moreAte here for the first time on recommendation from a friend. The drive thru menu is MASSIVE, and being first timers it took us a little bit to figure out what we wanted, but the staff were very nice and willing to wait while we decided. We ended up going with the famous steak hoagie and the chicken finger sub with onion rings and sweet potato fries.
Both sandwiches were delicious! The hoagie was meaty and no skimping on the sauce. The chicken finger sub was hot and crispy with a nice buffalo hot sauce coating, also very saucy as we requested it. What impressed me were the onion rings and fries - the onion rings were light battered and perfectly crispy and hot (lots of places you're usually missing one of those two parts). The sweet potato fries were nice and crunchy and I never thought honey would be a good dip for them - lesson learned!
Overall a great food experience. If you're looking for FUN food, or food post-partying at night, definitely...

Its menu is not confusing and their food is popular as well. Their famous 12" steak hoagie (cheese, secret sauce, lettuce, onions, tomato, mayo) without fries and a drink is $11.89 (roughly $14 with the sides) and takes 10-15 minutes to prepare. It is conveniently located across from the Southgate Plaza. The interior is clean and has a prize machine. Service is prompt and you can earn discounts on food if you use their card when you pay. Their poutine fries don't use cheese curds like some places in downtown Buffalo and across the border but are a decent side dish. I would definitely choose Jim's over McDonald's for quality and service and over Wendy's for price. It is tastier than Subway but a little pricier. Overall it is a great, reliable bet for comfort food if you want to stay in...
