Be careful of placing mobile orders, the app apparently doesn't know if the store is actually opened. I placed a mobile order on my way to work on Thanksgiving yesterday. The app and Google Maps both said the store was opened. The app was accepting mobile orders. Any other place that accepts mobile orders will not accept orders to be placed if the store is closed. The app does not allow you to cancel an order if it is "being prepared" so we could not cancel. I waited about 20 minutes, the app was saying "your order is almost ready and will be out in 1-2 minutes." We realized the store was not actually open, so we came back today around 9:53 AM. The lady at the counter was frustrated, implying that we should have known. This was more of an issue with the app and everywhere else saying they were opened. I already do not like having to go back to places, but the app literally does not allow you to cancel or refund. You have to go to the store. "FYI we're closed on thanksgiving" and when it was brought up that everywhere said they were opened, including their mobile app and Google maps page. She said "yea well no one reads". How are we supposed to read the door that says they're closed before we are even at the restaurant? Who places a mobile order as they're at the door of the restaurant? The app should not have been accepting orders. So be careful if anyone is gonna use the mobile app for placing orders, they might not be opened I guess. And you can't cancel or get a refund on the app because it automatically goes into "being prepared" even though it is obviously not being prepared.
They should probably update the app to either know when the store is not opened (as any other restaurant is able to do) or change it so that the workers have to confirm the order and allow you to...
Read moreI'm so done with flipping McD's. No one eats there thinking they're getting really great tasting and satisfying food to begin with. However they've now switched to REQUIRING you to order from a touchscreen monitor inside the restaurant. First... gross. The clientele that eat at McD's regularly ARE NOT diligent about washing their hands properly. I don't want to be poking at a device that hundreds of others have in the day. Second the transitions between selection screens is WAY WAY WAY TOO SLOW.
I don't stare at this thing all day, but you have employees that DO! It's about 6 times faster for me to audibly give my order at a register than it is to use this stupid thing. You already cheap out on labor based on the ridiculous mark up of your product... now you're going total robot? I'm done stopping here on the few occasions that I'm starving and need something pronto (likely the only times I've come). But I'm not only done with the inside dining area... because of these ridiculous ordering machines I refuse to even use the drive thru.
When Chick-fil-A finally comes to town YOU'RE TOAST! You can't even come close to comparing... I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way for Chick-fil-A. When has anyone said that about...
Read moreA Large Coffee ordered with 4 creams and 4 sugars on the side thru the drive-thru was so strong and so dark that the 4 creams did not make a dent in making it acceptabe to drink. it was not light enough to even consider drinkiing, not to mention that it was still too strong upon getting it home and adding all 4 creamers..
If the cost of gas was not what it is, I would have returned it and waited for a fresh pot to be made but it would have been cost prohibitive to do so.
The pot of coffee was obiviously old and sat on the heating plate way too long. If this happens again, I will be going back to Tim Horton's down the street and pay the additional amount to have a good cup of coffee and a breakfast from...
