A very sweaty maskless and ungloved manager identifying as “kayla” was summoned from the back by equally gloveless cook who was wearing a thin cloth around his neck (later pulled it up after being called out for not wearing it over his mouth) to inform me “moes is refusing service to people with out a mask on” (lets ignore the logical fallacy here since the dinning room is full of maskless people but they are sitting so scientifically speaking covid cant get them I guess) anyway….
I said I totally understand but unfortunately I have trouble breathing and cannot wear one. However I am more than happy to meet you half way and I asked what legal accommodations she could make. I suggested taking my order outside (roughly 10 feet from the register), taking my order from a table while I sit, allowing me to call it in or anything else she could reasonably come up with.
The answer was “no”. “We wont make any legal accommodations” she then said leave or Ill call the sheriff. I said go ahead I spoke to him recently on this topic and he personally assured me no mandates are being enforced in this county either by him or public safety. The “mask law” does not exist.
I asked for her employee info and a corporate number to contact. Kayla didnt provide it then whipped out her personal phone and stormed to the back. spent roughly 7 minutes on the phone ignoring me and other guests.
The sheriff came and explained to her exactly what I just said. He was able to get kayla to give up the stores contact info fortunately and provides me with the info. The sergeant encouraged me to reach out to “john” the owner of this franchise location. I will be doing so.
Look I get things are crazy right now and its important to look out for each others health. However there is no argument here when both employees were not mask (or even just normal food safety) compliant.
Its not just hypocritical to tell others to mask up if you refuse to wear one or wear it correctly yourself but in this setting its discriminatory. Worse these people were handling food with out gloves (or masks if that bothers you) but the no gloves is what grosses me out. Especially since they are all constantly fidgeting with face decorations (taking them off, pulling up, adjusting). Stop touching your wet covid mask bare handed before serving people food....

When I needed a lid for my soda to leave and go home to warm up food, there wasn’t a lid that would fit. I went to register to get a lid, which at that time I took the opportunity to ask the woman if she was the manager. She said she was the night shift manager. When I discretely told her about the food and the low water pressure in bathroom, she explained she just got there and apologized and she said she knew about the trickling water. I didn’t even mention how dirty the place was with food on tables and in and around trash area. My question is the cold meat and lukewarm cheese, tomatoes, etc that is sitting around and then scooped to make their burrito and the trickling water in bathroom that I assume staff uses too, wouldn’t that be a health dept issue? I am usually one that only leaves positive reviews because I realize (and hope) bad experiences aren’t the norm, and don’t want ti hurt a business, but this time, I wanted the experience noted. Cross my fingers I don’t get sick...
Read moreThis review is overdue but Angelo and his team graciously accepted a last minute request to fix together meal kits for my sister's bachelorette party a couple weeks ago. The theme was margaritas and matrimony and the goal was to make food at our Airbnb. The Airbnb was inadequately equipped to cook for our group size. He listened to our predicament and was willing to go above and beyond 4 hours before we planned to eat. I didn't expect him to take on such a last minute request but he was up to the challenge. He took the time to make sure he had the proper resources and came back and said the food would be ready in a few hours. The food was such a hit both for dinner and then of course for late night food after the bar. The team went out of the way to set up the food as if it was a catering order which worked really well as all the items were in big trays and everyone could build their own meals. Saved us big time!!!! Knocked it out the park with customer service and definitely will be a brand recognition memory for all of us. Thank you thank...
