Grandma's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

They double charged me for the order and then banned me from the place for attempting to resolve it with the bank

I waited for the charge to clear thinking this is just an authorization charge. When I knew the charge was duplicated I used the online banking app to dispute the charge. I didn't do it out of malice. I simply thought that the restaurant will take longer refunding me the money. In fact when I talked to the manager over the phone he indicated to me that they were having a busy week busy and he would look into it next week sometime. I needed my refund and didn't feel that I should wait till next week to resolve this especially since it was clearly their mistake. So I used my banking app to get credit and thought they would hash it out with the business

Now when I placed another order will them I got called back and told they will no longer do business with me. Not just me but anyone at my address apparently (I have 3 family members who independently order from the place)

So to summarize. This business mishandles payment information by putting a card through twice. And instead of owning up to their mistake and apologizing they ban you from the place for attempting to recover it The manager's response was to tell me I should have wen't through them, but I don't think it's a responsibility of the customer to deal with their internal problem. It should not be my burden as a customer to figure out who to contact. I have a right to get my money back the quickest way possible and the bank provided the quickest way to get credit

Especially in the uncertain times such as they are it is not appropriate for a business to just willy-nilly charge someone extra $50 and then get upset over the fact that the customer wants their refund as...

Hands down the best pizzeria in westchester, their food in the kitchen is absolutely award winning worthy, I have dined in some of westchester’s top Italian restaurants and let me tell you Grandma’s kitchen food is on the same level of not better. The staff that works there is so welcoming. The restaurant is clean and always tidy. If going there I highly reccomend the chicken franchese over pasta ! 11/10. Just ordered pizza and the best Italian Shrimp Francese I've ever eaten! Their portions so thoughtful and everything neatly packed! Wow! I knew their pizza and pepperoni rolls were excellent but this meal was truly off the charts!
