LH Kitchen — Restaurant in Tracy

This place gets a 3 star for now. I ordered the pick your own pho special. The broth came out a bit more oilier than I’d like and tasted pretty heavy to me, so I was only able to finish half a regular size. 😮‍💨

Usually I don’t order boba from pho places because that’s not their specialty but I decided to take a chance. However, my Thai milk tea came out a bit sweeter than I had liked and there was no option to adjust the sugar level. The boba was hard to chew, it felt like they were leftovers from earlier in the day or undercooked because the center was hard and not jelly.

Overall I was a bit disappointed but I’ll have to come back to try and order something else on the menu. Based on some of the reviews, it seemed like they at least got the rice...

Was passing by for Maroo’s Korean but they happened to be closed today and got a chance to try LH’s. Not many patrons inside but a very nice atmosphere, ordered a spring roll with grilled pork, chicken pho, and a Thai tea to go. Food portions were good, chicken broth was pretty watered down which required some hoisin and sriracha to balance out. The fried garlic was a nice touch. Total should’ve came out to $33.50 with tax but there was maybe a honest mistake made and the price was 37 before the tip. Can’t tell because the receipt isn’t itemized. Overall, it was filling - would go here again and try...

It is a quaint place, and the staff is friendly. However, the vermicelli was mushy for every dish we had, mint was missing or sparingly used, there was no cucumber at all, the pork was some atypical preparation probably prepared in an air-fryer, the hoisin sauce for the rolls was bland, the fish sauce was lacking fish sauce, the shrimp was pretty good, and there was no way they could mess up a Sprite. Lol. Overall, it was a sad, bland experience. I think they should close shop until they can do it right. If you think this is good Viet food, you’ve missed out somewhere along...
