I dont usually like to compare, but this place reminds me of Flemings, Morton's or Ruth's Chris. You'll get the same quality, IMO. As always, I started with a smoked Old Fashioned. This was extremely strong. I didnt taste any simple syrup at all. I'm okay with that, but just be prepared. They didnt use a large cube or ball of ice.
This was the best clam chowder I've tried in California. I can tell it's fresh and homemade. There are large chunks of clams, potatoes, and celery in this. I had a cup which came with a slice of French sourdough bread. It was absolutely perfect.
I had the Walnut Oil Bistro Bruchette which was a tomato, fresh mozzarella , feta cheese and topped with a vinaigrette dressing. A bit messy, but very good.
My entree came with a side salad and it wasn't anything special but it is perfect in size to hold me over until the entree came.
The main attraction tonight was the lobster and filet mignon. It sat on a bed of thick mashed potatoes, long sliced carrots and fresh green beans. I had it medium rare (as you should), and holy ... SMOKES, did it ever deliver. Tender, juicy and incredibly flavorful. The veggies were crisp and cooked to perfection. The lobster had a nice layer of seasoning on top and came with a butter dip.
I decided to treat my mouth once again by ordering a crepe with ice cream inside and topped with whipped cream along with chocolate sauce. It turned out to be too much to finish but it was rich, decadent and the perfect way to finish the night. There was a bit of caramel on the plate as well.

Read moreCalled to make reservations before Valentine’s Day, the first person I spoke to was hesitant to take a reservation but said he only would if I gave them my credit card and because. Had a big group of people, then told me that if people did not show up I would be charged $25 per person. All of this was fine understanding I was booking during a holiday weekend - then he told me to call before if the number changes. Understanding and empathizing with the restaurant industry I can understand all of the above. I even called to verify my number of ppl. I get they may need to do this for a larger group or to relieve the no call no shows. What disappoints me is the ruined our groups plans because I respectfully called follow up and let them know if my number as we discussed. Only to be met with soemoen on the phone who cut me off and told me that’s not how they do things and all this jobber jabber. It’s not my fault an employee there took this reservation but the employee was right because the person on the phone asked for me information and credit card number and magically it’s wasn’t there. It felt like they were neglecting my business and for something who respectfully took the time to communicate / it’s very disappointing. I called twice when the man told me apparently none of my information made it on the list. Thne where did they put my information with my credit cars? So now my group of family:friend has no where to go ontop of stressing if my card is going to be racked up with fraud. Huge disappointment in customer service and after this I probably won’t go there. Terrible communication with there team and service to customers. I was very shocked to have this...
Read moreThis was our first time at this establishment. I know it has been in Tracy for about 10 years (That says something being around that long in Tracy). We enjoyed our meal. I had the Teriyaki Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. My wife had the Portobello Mushroom Pasta dish. Both dishes started with a House Salad.
The food tasted great and the portions were nice size. They also have a full bar along with different beer and wine offerings. After our meal we ordered desert. They do different type of desert crepes and other sweet choices. We also had coffee. I wish the coffee was better but it was ok. They do offer different types of coffee (Like Irish coffee and other coffee drinks with alcohol)
The staff was very friendly and the owner is a very nice man. I would have given this a 4 1/2 star rating if I could. The reason it was not a 5 Star is we (my wife and I) thought that they could have spaced or timed the meal serving a little better. We got our salad and a few minutes later our meal arrived. The only other thing is that they could have waited for both of us to have finished our meal before taking away plates. This way the other person doesn’t feel rushed.
There was a constant flow of people but not to the point that you need to turn tables. It looks like they do a good business and probably do get swamped.I understand that when a place is swamped that you need to turn tables.
We will definitely go back and try some other dishes. There is something for everybody on the menu (Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Steak and Chicken dishes along with Pasta and other main selections). They also have a room that can accommodate a...
