Crocodile Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Tredyffrin Township

Stumbled upon Croc Catering on a different catering site when I was asked last minute to provide lunch for 30 people, and this was one of the few restaurants not greyed out due to 24 hour order policy. I chose a sampler at random because it looked like a good variety. It came with a build your own Philly cheesesteak and some assorted cold hoagies (Italian and turkey) I also added 2 orders for vegetarian options. The Italian hoagies were a hit. Everyone was asking about them, and we get hoagies somewhat regularly so for everyone know notice these were different is saying a lot! The vegetarian option was amazing; I am usually the only one who partakes but a few people saw that it was fully loaded with veggies, feta cheese, and hummus along with more dipping hummus and people were all about it. This was not a sad, small wrap that feels like an afterthought with leftover vegetables like you'll get sometimes. This was packed with roasted veggies, feta, hummus, and olives. It had a very greek vibe, and for once there were no veggie leftovers. The Philly Cheesesteak came with melted cheese and marinara, and some side toppings for people to build their own. A lot of people used the chips that came with the order and made a sort of nacho dish with it. They were really able to have fun with all the variety of options s and toppings that came with it.

Besides the amazing quality of the food, I have to mention the quality of the care - Kurt, the owner, himself came out to ensure everything was set up to his standards. They brought chafing dishes to keep the food hot, as well as oft overlooked essentials like plates, napkins, serving utensils and cutlery for us - everything down to the water for the chafing dishes they brought with them! Very well thought out, every detail well planned, and the best is we ordered to be delivered by 10:30 and he got there 15 minutes early to make sure the entire set up was 100% complete by exactly 10:30. To be so ready for his customers that I could place a huge order the day before and have it not only completely there on time, but set up in such a professional and thought-out way, was really a huge relief off my shoulders. Super helpful and easy to work with! I was aware of Crocodile Catering (from seeing their branded vehicles), yet had never ordered from them. I had a next-day request for catering; made one phone call to Rachel, who took my order over the phone, sent an electronic invoice and said we could email any changes to our order by the end of the day. Given that it was a quick turnaround, Rachel advised that their delivery schedule was rather packed for the day of our event and that we could schedule a pick up time. Sure enough, we had 2 more people to add to our order, so I sent an email later that day to give an update to the Crocodile team.

Woke up the morning of my catering request to an early-morning response from Rachel's colleague saying, "we're on it, and we've updated your order." A separate email with an invoice for the difference was attached and easy to pay.

The day of our event, my colleague arrived at Crocodile Catering's office at the scheduled time, saw our order prepared and boxed on a cart at the door; all he had to do was open his car up and everything was loaded in. (My colleague joked that he did not deserve any gratitude from me, since everything was taken care of by the Crocodile team.)

Crocodile included everything -- food, beverages, ice, paper products (incl. tablecloth) -- which made it easier for us! SO SO EASY! Thank you Crocodile Catering, I plan to...

Crocodile Catering was recommended by a colleague to cater my work's Town Hall meeting for 24 people. It was the BEST catering experience that I've had in my 25+ year career. From Lauren's help with the choosing which food would be best for our event (based on dietary restrictions) to the amazing delivery and set-up by Rachel (she was super sweet and helpful of course!) and the AWESOME look and taste of the food, I couldn't have asked for or expected more! :)

I had many people come up to me (including my boss) to tell me how good the wraps were and how they really enjoyed the fruit kabobs, crunchy salad and yummy cookies! I have to say, the vegetarian wraps were a HUGE hit and were gone right away and everyone kept asking me for more. Lesson learned to order about half vegetarian wraps in the future. My only regret is that I didn’t get to try a vegetarian wrap, but I will be going to Crocodile Cafe in the near future...
