Our past experiences eating at Nudy’s have been positive, and the food was very good. However, today was extremely disappointing. We overheard there were only three servers today, but we were surprisingly seated quickly. We expected a bit of a wait given their staffing. All the servers kept passing by our table, presenting orders to customers seated after us. After 30 minutes, I managed to get the attention of our server, and asked about the status of our order since I noticed people seated after us were already eating. After checking, she proceeded to tell us that she didn’t see the order back in the kitchen. So she meant to say she lost our order slip and we were just waiting for nothing? No one ever bothered to check why we still did not have our food. She said they could prepare it quickly. But at this time we were hungry and upset. We repeated to tell the order that we gave to her 30 minutes ago, and decided that we couldn’t wait anymore; our son was hungry and we’ll gonna eat somewhere else.
It’s one thing to be understaffed and busy. But if you can walk past a table who has clearly no food on their table while other people are eating, common courtesy is to check up on them to see if they are doing ok. That is good customer service.
This may not mean much, since I am ONLY a customer, but the way we were treated today made us feel like we were literally invisible. I can truly say that you have lost a customer for life. We will NEVER eat at one of your restaurants again. The only thing we have to remember this day is a story that our son is saying about how we waited and waited for food that never came. And believe me he likes to talk..and tell everyone about his...
Read moreI’m convinced the good reviewers were confused and maybe ate at a different location. My husband and I moved here from Texas two weeks ago. I had seen the menu for Nudy’s online and had been excited to try it.
The waitress was kind, but unhelpful with the menu. I ordered an iced coffee and omg was it bad. Obviously it’s just coffee left from the day before. So weak, so nasty. When my scrambled eggs with cheese came, it was a flat pile of dry eggs with a square of cheese on top. My husband ordered the California Benedict. The avocado was brown. We got there 15 minutes after they opened, so it must have been left over from the night before. His hash browns were so bad he wouldn’t let me try them. He told the waitress how bad they were and asked if there were something else he could have. She offered fruit for an up charge.
When we were checking out, the woman at the front asked how everything was. I told her it wasn’t great. Her response was “oh, I’m sorry.” And continued to ring me up for the meal we basically didn’t eat and the $3 up charged fruit for the gross hash browns.
The two stars are for the quickness of the waitress, her being kind enough, and the pancakes being decent.
Needless to say we won’t...
Read moreI was looking for a place to eat after my treatment at Paolo Hospital. This came up so I visited here for lunch at noon Tuesday. The place was hopping which is a great sign to begin with. The service was excellent and the food fantastic however a slightly long wait due to a busy crowd but worth the wait. I'm gluten intolerant and was pleasantly surprised after asking the waiter if there were any options for this and they have pancakes and waffles that are gluten free. I originally wanted French toast but ordered the waffles which were so good and the eggs and scrapple cooked perfectly to order. Peeking at plates going to other tables and my table as well, the plates seem to be large and filling and worth every penny spent. They should advertise gluten free and hopefully carry gluten free bread for French toast and regular toast as well soon. They are only breakfast and lunch so find time to visit this establishment. To be that crowded on a Tuesday lunch means they are doing...
