Ordered a 2-meat combo (brisket and ribs), and their signature "Brisket and Gravy (with egg)", $30 and $16 respectively. For "1/4 lb of brisket" we got ONE slice, and it was extremely over peppered along the edges, as in "peppered brisket", and surprised only one thin slice. The ribs were not fully cooked, red in the middle of one, and meat did not pull off the bone and gristly - likely cooked to only 155-165F internal (I BBQ myself, should have been cooked to 195-205F internal to make tender). It did come with two ribs, but one was a short-end rib (shorter than usual), so again, less than expected. Mac and cheese side was inedible, it smelled and tasted like an omlette w/cheese, and touch of sour (sour cream?) - no seasoning. Corn bread was decent, and wrapped to keep it from getting dry.
"Brisket (Biscuit) and gravy" was mid, though the gravy was under-seasoned except from again, too much pepper. Biscuits tasted canned, almost doughy. No crisp edges, had literally fused with, stuck to the cardboard container they came with. Lastly, sadly, even the brisket sprinkles on it were dry. Kept seperate, or odds & ends from brisket slicing?
Overall, not worth it at ALL for $46, even in increased prices, as parts were inedible. I don't often go out of my way to write food reviews, but for that price and underwhelming quality, I had to...
Read moreI ordered the brisket sliders. It comes with 2 sliders and waffle fries. My sliders had a single piece of brisket on them that was the thickness of lunch meat, exactly the dimensions of the bun, and hard. There was about half a tea spoon of gravy on each. The cheese and buns were good and appropriately sized, which was great, because that’s all I could taste. Waffle fries were good. There were 8, 4 large and 4 small. Essentially I received the equivalent of a cheese sandwich and 1/2 a small order of fries and if it was $8 I wouldn’t have cared but it was $16 + tip of course, because the service was efficient if disinterested. I have no idea if the brisket or gravy is good here but if you are curious don’t order the sliders as a way...
Read moreThe food...WOW underwhelming is the best I can describe it. I asked for a single slider, he offered waffle fries but I said NO, he said which gravy did you want, a mushroom or southern hot style...I chose the mushroom, & when I got to my motel room to take a bite, the bread was HARD AS A ROCK STALE, even my dog didn't want it...the bacon he put on my slider was UNDERCOOKED, & the only other thing on it was cheese which was fine...the brisket was a burger NOT true brisket...it was OK, but I noticed he charged me $5+ for Waffle Fries, NOT a slider...so odd. Very underwhelming & I would NOT eat here ever again. He had his kids running around & they were adorable but could not overcome the disappointing food...
