I was so excited to come try Checkboard pizza out with my family so we ordered two large pizzas & the nice person at the front told me it would be about 25 minutes, so I headed out to go wait outside and about 25 minutes later I went back in to ask for a cup of water but they asked for my name just to double check if my order was ready already but it wasn’t which was understandable, but the cook in the back yelled at us saying it will be another 25 min wait and to just wait for the message, I was surprised why he talked to us that way when I was in no rush of getting my order out I just was asking for a cup of water & as soon as I headed back out to wait the extra “25 minutes” I get a message saying my order was ready and when I headed back in he just gave us a dirty look as if we were bothering him. The default tip percentage is ridiculous so be mindful of that sneakily slid in percentage. The icing on the cake was when I asked for parmesan cheese, only to be told that would be 2.00 extra. He proclaims it "real, NY style, 2-handed pizza" and I have no reason to doubt him. For my part, I can simply confirm the "Brooklyn" is incredibly, incredibly tasty.
