Okay I’m never the one to complain or leave a review but I’ve been coming to this place for over 15 years and yesterday was the first time I didn’t enjoy their service or food… the owner was out of town so I see why things were out of hand.
First off the waiter we had was super rude I can’t even begin to explain… He was super rushy when I was ordering 😑 I was asking about the Khandhari Naan and he acted like there was no such thing and the only naan on the menu is garlic naan.. so I had to point out to him on the menu…We also ordered garlic naan and he never put the order in… I ordered onion pakora as a appetizer and it came as large onion rings not the traditional way … I make onion pakoras and had them many times in India.. I asked the waiter to take it back and he had a super rude approach saying “oh well this is how we have been making them for 2 years” … Okay well this is not the way I remember Ashoka making them cause I got my wedding catering from here … ALL TO IT I’m not paying for something I’m not going to eat so he took it back after he continued with his attitude.
We got the Lamb Koorma and it was good , the butter chicken wasn’t good at all it was soar taste like straight up tomato paste… my favorite dish from here was the butter chicken and it was horrible yesterday… The bus boy was a older man and he was super sweet we gave him a tip. Also another man wearing a white shirt who I believe was the manager was really nice and understanding as to why I was not going to tip this horrible waiter we had … He told us to please come again when the owner is back is on the 27th. I was super shocked cause I loved this resturant… over all my experience with the waiter that wasn’t even doing his job had the other men do it for him … led me to never want to come here again and I will not recommend it to anyone I know ever. We also got charged a bit more for the dishes & it was less on the menu...

2019 Food was yummy. Spicy and tasty. Indo Chinese fried rice is good . Chicken manchurian great. Kadai chicken could have improve and South Indian flavour not there . Lamb options not available though. Naan was bit salty. Free pappad nice. Ambiance same years now. Waiting staff did their job but can smile🤣 gave handsome tips but no one back to table and say thanks . Manager on duty not even say good night while leaving...not a big deal and can’t expect ... dinner price is bit expensive in few items. Buffet good better choice. We went mid week and has decent crowd. Overall getting same experience and one of the best...
Read moreA few years ago this place use to be really good. It was my first experience eating indian food, It has now become my favorite type of food. I went back there a week ago and it was one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. The only worse experiences I have had are because of food poisioning. My glass was completly filthy, when the waitor filled my glass with water there were specs of what I assume was old food from a previous customer. Upon getting the traditional sauces I found a hair in one of them. Besides the fiflth the food was an even worse experience. The appitizer sampler could barley pass at a fast food restaurant. Plainly it was a fried potato, fried onion rings, and fried peppers, and one samosa that was drenched with grease in the inside. When the chicken tikka masala arrived the basmati rice was half spongy, but the naan was actually fairly good. The actual chicken tikka masala had no flavor or spice whatsover it was disgusting and would barley be passable as a can of spaghetti o’s at the grocery store. That is what it tasted like, in fact spaghetti o’s probably taste better. I am actually very suprised and thankful that I did not get food poisioning. Im willing to bet if a food inspector were to visit that place it would be shut down immediately. DO NOT visit this establishment. There are plenty of other indian establishments around the area that are quite good. Thankfully this wasnt my first experience otherwise I know I would never want to eat...
