Well where do I start off? My wife and I are regular customers every week. I never had a bad experience until today. When I say I had a bad experience today, I mean horrible not bad. My wife just placed an order for take out and I went to pick it up. The staff messed up and gave another customer our order. No big deal. This happens and I'm a reasonable person.
As I'm waiting in line, the customers that went home with our order walked back in. She had the same first name as my wife so it's an understandable mistake. What's not understandable is that they tried to give me the order that someone else took out of the restaurant. The cashier asked the customer did they open the boxes, and the lady blatantly said "yes we opened all of them when we were home." He went into the back with my boxes and came right back out.
I asked "are these the same boxes?" His reply, "Yes they were not open." The lady literally said in front of both of us she opened this. This was a violation of the health code BEFORE COVID. After complaining to them that I would not accept that they made another order that took another 20 minutes.
I wasn't offered a refund or anything. They forgot the spicy Mayo and the soup was cold . I called to complain and they offered to give us $1 off next time we go back... there won't be a next time thanks for the insult. As I told him no thanks on the $1 refund and we would not be back he then said "ok fine we can offer $20 back." No thanks again. I will be reporting this to the health/food department to protect everyone as this is not safe. There are high amount of COVID cases in Michigan. The interior is simple and they do not serve alcohol so probably not the best place for a date - but if you're looking for consistently great sushi at a reasonable price then this is the ticket. Nigiri and sushimi have always been great and the rolls are even better; try the yum-yum if you haven't yet. The chef does not rice-load the nigiri or rolls like I've seen done in other places. I really like ginger and the green tea and have never been charged for many refills of either. For dessert I recommend giving the tempura banana a try. Note that as of Feb 2016 the restaurant is not open on Sundays and from 3-5 pm during other days so give them a call...

Unfortunately, there was a mix-up in our order, and we received shrimp tempura instead. We didnāt realize the mistake until the bill came, and we were charged for the more expensive tempura dish, even though it was their error. When I brought this to their attention, the staff did not address the issue, and we were left feeling disappointed.
