So, this is a difficult review for me to figure out stars for. Elaineās has been a mainstay in the area for decades now. I remember Troy Schools getting their bagels for 25 cent Bagel Day back in the 90s and my love of bagels came from here. I am sure so many people love their bagels and other foods too, so Iām glad they are still in business and glad there are options. The quality began to dip pretty badly around 2017 so I had gone over to getting grilled bagels from Tim Hortonās. I came back today for the first time in over a year after several bad experiences with Tim Hortonās. The new layout looks amazing and the service is always amazing- the bagels are not amazing as the others. I donāt know what happened in the making of these in the last 10 years but you have to have teeth of steel to make it through these bagels without hurting your mouth. The bagel shells are hard, dry and impossible to eat while the insides are undercooked to the point where it is mostly just dough and is not cooked. I can actually remember what the bagels tasted like back then and they were made so well, so I donāt know how the quality could have gone down this much - even in a year. I bought a plain bagel and two salt- I barely was able to eat the insides before throwing them all away. Tim Hortonās also doesnāt know how to make bagels but thereās are a little easier on the teeth though their bagels now seem to taste just as bad as here. Einsteinās canāt make good bagels either. Itās just really sad that even though there are many options for bagels in the area, almost none of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit: owner is claiming I did not order from their bakery. LOL. I literally watched the DD driver drive to my house from your location on Rochester road! I live less than 1.5 miles away and thought Iād treat myself with some bagels. How rude! I shouldāve read Google reviews before ordering!
I ordered $35 worth of bagels this morning at 7am from DoorDash and I am beyond disappointed. I ordered the bakers dozen with cream cheese and the Santa Fe Trail with a jalapeƱo bagel. First of all, I ordered a variety of bagels and half of them were plain! I was also giving a sesame one, which i did not order, cannot eat, and itās cross contamination! I will be reporting this to the health department! Actually insane. Also, the Santa Fe Trail did not come with sausage like the description said on DoorDash and it came on a plain bagel. Overall, I only at the Santa Fe Trail and had to throw out the rest. The sandwich was disgustingly bad. It was hard iceberg lettuce, rotten tasting tomato, and eggs. Needless to say I did not finish it and my day has been ruined. I cannot believe I paid $35 for plain bagels today. What a rip off! First and last time here. I do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood bagels, but to be honest the service was bad. Whoever was the cashier was, definitely wasn't in the mood for work today and it seemed like the owner possibly so that threw me off a little bit. Ordered a half dozen bagels and an 8 oz tub of cream cheese that they have for $11.49. But for some reason I was charged a little more. I mentioned it to her and she went back and fixed something. Just not sure why it didn't give the price that is posted on menu to begin with. Not sure what I'm being charged extra for. Nice neighborhood and I know most people probably don't care or wouldn't complain over an extra $1.25 but it's the point. Also I went in there at 8:00 in the morning and they only had about six different kinds of bagels left by then. But the bagels are definitely good, even better if they hadn't already ran out by 8:00 in the morning of both salt bagels and salt sticks. You'd figure if they were that popular, that place would definitely have more than enough at that time in the morning still or just make way more. All right now my Karen...
