The problem itself is not because of the normal atmosphere of the restaurant but the fact that a large group of people had a "meeting" there. They had taken ALL of the normal height chairs and placed them around a few tables. They also very effectively took the coffee bar area and the individual seating at the window. These people were so rude and loud that people trying to order weren't able to communicate with the cashiers. Even the cashier said to another customer and I that the group was making her job much more difficult, because this group had been shouting over one another for some time, getting louder and louder. A young lady saw my husband looking for a place to sit, he is handicapped, but the group had all but one low chair taken, she gave up the table where she was sitting, but it was a high top table and those chairs are very difficult to sit in if you have a physical disability. The group truly should be more mindful of the noise level and using all of but 4 tables, especially when people are stopping in to grab a breakfast muffin that they intended to eat there and grab their lunch for the afternoon. In the short period that we were there, we counted at least 8 people who had nowhere to sit, so they had to have their plated food repackaged and leave. The managers should suggest that they meet elsewhere and have this group order their items from Ridley's. They do make beautiful trays and have large containers for the group for coffee, then they can actually have something to drink in front of them. BTW, the cashier said that they all had gone through their refilled coffees and teas, that is why they were sitting sipping water from their cup! Maybe limit...

Read moreThis is my 4th time coming to this establishment. First of all the staff is rude, they think they are doing you a favor by coming into the business. I spent one time 25.00 to taste some of their pastries. Not the best. The frosting and creme is not smooth at all it is sticky. I tried the honey cake not moist at all, the biscoff cup creme is sticky not fresh. So I kept on trying. There croissants are good, I went in today and bought a slice of pistachio ricotta cake. First of all I did not taste ricotta and it was made with the honey cake. It was a waste of 5.00 for a slice. Again the frosting and creme is sticky for some reason. I will not purchase again. The pastries look pretty but not good. Cake is not moist and frosting is sticky. Creme not smooth. Fancy pants in Swathmore is very good, You pay more put mosit cake and silky creme. Plus the service is pleasant in Swathmore. The owner needs to talk to there staff at this place. They are rude and think they are doing you a favor. Bad for business. I am a business owner and you should always go out your way for customers and at least be nice. Hopefully the staff changes there attitude and changes the way they greet and talk to people. And actually they do not greet you at all and it is a small business. Change the recipe of the cake and frosting not fresh...
