Well its been about a month since my last review of this Starbucks and I'm really not sure how but things have actually gotten worse. While I still think Starbucks Corporate needs to do something about Drive Thru and Sit Down combo stores and at least two complete Barista Stations at all combo stores, now this store's service has gotten ridiculous!! Two days in a row I have visited this store in early and late afternoon. Early afternoon on Saturday had 8 cars in Drive Through when I got there and 4 people in line ahead of me. 4 employees behind the counter. 1 working front register ONLY and wouldn't leave, 1 working drive thru register ONLY and wouldn't leave, 1 Barista, and 1 girl basically doing nothing and filling napkins etc. Now maybe because of health codes only 1 Barista can work at once, but to actually see 3 people not help this Barista on this Saturday was inexcusable considering I didn't get flavor shot I asked for and there were 3 mistake drinks on the counter staff was trying to give away. This Barista was so busy and the other three people were doing next to nothing? Spilling more than his fair share too of the boxed milk products on every drink because of how fast he is trying to go doesn't leave a good taste in customers mouths either when coffee is already upwards of $5.... Don't really feel like paying for floor milk when problem can be easily remedied with some care and attention by other staff. Sunday late afternoon, nobody in drive through and one person ahead of me at the counter. Today 5 employees working, but unlike yesterday they are all doing a little of everything to attempt smoothness, but still over 20 minutes for my coffee and yet again another forgotten flavor shot. It is really become the blind leading the blind at this store and quite uncalled for. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon or brain scientist to figure out how to make orders in the order they come in, but for some reason drive through and internet orders take president over people actually coming into the store and who 90% of the time spend way more money on impulse buys because we stay and they are in front of our face at counter vs in our car or ordering on the app or online. This store needs a complete over haul of employees or if this is Starbucks Corporate doing, IT AIN'T WORKING!!!!!!!!! Seems like this place for about the last 4-6 months has really slid down...
Read moreIâm not sure what SBXâs identity is these days. I tend to think of it as fast food coffee - no better thank DD or Tim Hortonâs - but more options.
The level of inconsistency on $6 drinks - is frustrating and disappointing. I like to think Iâm a traditionalist when it comes to my drinks of choice; a short cap, a tall shaken espresso, the occasional flat white if Iâm feeling sassy.
More often than not - the espresso is burnt and shorted. Itâs amazing to get a half full drink when you order a short (smaller than a tall). Itâs damn near impossible to be honest - but it happens all the time.
Also - the milk pours are so heavy on everything. Iâm usually sipping on warm milk with a splash of burnt espresso. Itâs impressively bad.
The worst part is - I can tell when my drink will suck by looking at it or lifting it - which means the baristas probably know itâs light or off portioned too - they just donât care. Theyâre hoping you donât say anything. They stay far away from the mobile orders with backs to you - making it impossible to flag them down. If you say âexcuse meâ - youâre ignored.
Itâs fine if Starbucks wants to be lower quality, but there still needs to be a level of consistency. Imagine the rage if your soda and fries were burnt or half full most of the time. It would be...
Read moreCashier (dude with short hair and glasses) fought with me and gave me an attitude. Not even one smile. I didnât feel welcomed at all. Worst Starbucks Iâve been to. He argued with me about filling my doppio with oat milk. No other location gave me an issue.
I asked for the cup to be lined with caramel. He marked caramel drizzle. Apparently he doesnât know the difference. He told me theyâre the same thing. They most certainly are not. The guy looked very unhappy, he had a demeanor about him that just said to me âgo awayâ.
The barista was very kind or else Iâd have given this a one star. Shout out to the barista because he was awesome. Even he looked annoyed at the cashier which makes sense because he was busy and had a 5 drink order ahead of mine and he was kind enough to make mine first. He had curly hair. Cool style.
I wonât be returning to this location. I got a dirty chai yesterday and the barista didnât steam the milk properly, it tasted burnt. I watched him do it. When steaming milk one should move it up and down, like milking a cow, but he just held it stationary. It was an extra...
