Today, I visited this Subway location with the intention of ordering a Subway Club wrap, which I saw listed on the menu. When it was my turn, a middle-aged white woman with dark hair, a heavy-set build, and wearing a black shirt took my order. I told her I wanted the Subway Club wrap, and she immediately responded in a rude and dismissive tone, saying, “We don’t offer wraps.” When I pointed out that it was on the menu, she snapped back saying, “You can’t get the club in a wrap, you can get it on flatbread.”
Her tone was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional, especially in front of other customers. I tried to de-escalate by asking if everything was alright, and to my shock, she told me to get out of the store. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. She was visibly friendlier and polite to the white customers before and after me, treating them with smiles and courtesy, which made the contrast in her behavior towards me even more hurtful.
As someone who lives in the area and visits this location regularly, this was the first time I encountered her—and I’ve never been treated this poorly. I do not drive, so I waited in the lobby for my Uber. While I was quietly waiting, she continued to yell at me from behind the counter, threatening to call the police if I didn’t leave.
This behavior was completely unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. I was denied service without cause and treated in a discriminatory manner. I hope that management takes this complaint seriously. No customer deserves to be treated this way, especially a loyal one.
I won’t be returning to this location, and I sincerely hope steps are taken to ensure no one else experiences this kind...
Read moreWill not be back again. Will frequent the one on the border of Clawson/Troy that almost always has great service. Several times now (I always try to give the benefit of the doubt) I have received shoddy service when ordering online and picking up at this location. (There was no one else in there when we picked up either). I ordered the following last night:
Steak & Cheese Wrap -Monterey Cheddar, Green Peppers, Red Onions, Tomatoes, Less Jalapeños, Less Lettuce, Baja Chipotle. It was $13.49 mind you.
What I received was: A wrap w/ the meat & slight amount of cheese, 3 very small pieces of green pepper (that would amount to 1/4 slice maybe), small 1/2 slice of red onion, no tomatoes, LOTS OF jalapeños, 1 single piece of lettuce. 1 single piece!! and a minimal amount of sauce. You know that was no accident when it contains a single piece of lettuce. I'm sorry. Like why... And i notice now that the guy below me also said he was missing lettuce in his SALAD. (Have to organize by newest)
I don't normally "count" each item in my wrap but I had to break it open & put it in a bowl when all I could see was meat. For this price, come on, hire people that are...
Read moreI work in this area and come here for lunch sometimes, the last few times I walked out with no food because either there was no bread, no meat, or the toaster was broken. The employees are always in the back when you come in and you have to wait for service. Today when I went for a sandwich, I wanted Italian herbs & cheese bread but the bread looked terrible and not even cooked. I settled for wheat bread and then wanted grilled strip chicken with bacon, the grilled strip chicken was running very low and I had to ask if there was more in the back because the employee just offered the rotisserie chicken rather than replenishing more of the chicken I requested. The employee piled on way too much chicken that I knew the sandwich wouldn’t close and told him to take it off, he put it in the toaster for maybe 10 seconds and then proceeded to finish making the sandwich, which was very sloppy. When closing the sandwich and cutting in half, he cut the white paper they make the sandwich on, along with the sandwich. The more I come here the experience gets worse and worse. The subway at the Walmart next door is MUCH BETTER and I will start going there. Never...
