I had the pleasure of dining at Bawarchi Restaurant in Tucker recently with a group of six friends, and it was an absolute delight from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating, setting the stage for a memorable meal.

As we perused the menu, we were immediately impressed by the wide array of options, ranging from traditional Indian favorites to more innovative dishes. After much deliberation, we decided to start with the Chicken Manchow Soup, which was hearty and flavorful, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.

For mains, we indulged in a feast of flavors. The Butter Chicken was a definite standout, with its creamy texture and rich, aromatic sauce. The Chilly Chicken Gravy packed a punch with its perfect balance of spice and tanginess, while the Chicken Fried Rice provided a comforting complement to the other dishes.

However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Vijaywada SPL Chicken Biryani Boneless. Each forkful was a symphony of spices, with tender chicken pieces nestled among fragrant basmati rice, creating a dish that was as comforting as it was flavorful.

Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience to the fullest.

I was so excited for this location to open and when it did, I frequented the store between 2-4 times a month. The manager is always very friendly. In April of this year, I placed an order for pickup via a delivery app. I arrived after the time the app showed my order would be ready. It was not ready when I arrived, and I was asked to be seated to wait. I can’t gauge if I was forgotten or ignored but the annoyance started to become visible on my face. The manager sees this and tells me it will be another few minutes. Not sure if the woman working the front was the manager’s wife but she clearly avoided me as she helped other patrons. When my order finally came out, the woman watched me smirking as I picked it up and still never addressed me. As I turned to leave I could see her reflection in the window, lean in, almost laughing, to say something to the manager. Again, I ordered my food through a delivery app and picked it up but it felt as if the woman thought I was working for the app instead of being the actual customer. Could have been just my experience but to know that even one delivery person may be being treated in that way, makes it an easy decision for me to never patronize this restaurant again. Prior to this, I would have given the restaurant five stars as I had never encountered this...

Upon arrival at the restaurant, I saw the photo of the mouth-watering lamb chops on the window of the establishment is what encouraged me to walk-in. As I walked in I was greeted by a lovely India woman behind the register with a very welcoming smile 😊. I took a quick review of the menu although I knew I was going order the lamb chops, I had to have vegetables to accompany my meal. I explained to the woman what I needed to compliment my lamb chops, but she stated that they didn’t have it. However, a man was sitting at the table in the restaurant eating a dish that contained a lot of vegetables whom I later understood was one of the Chefs. He stated that what I was explaining to him was not on the menu, but he would create a special dish for me. I was in such amazement, yet grateful that he would prepare what I requested. I asked him to consider adding it to the menu and name the dish after me, lol 😂. This restaurant was very clean and you can view the kitchen from the lobby area. So, if you would like to enjoy an authentic Indian meal, come and experience Bawarchi Biryanis Tucker Restaurant. I promise you will not have any regrets!!! It is mmmmmm...
