Waffle House — Restaurant in Tucker

It was the Racist Waitress for Me. my 2 Children and Myself wanted to grab a Bite at Our usual Eatery. When we came in, The Tables we're Dirty so we waited until they were Cleaned. Our Waitress "IVY' informed us that the grill was being Cleaned. And had to wait an additional 10 min before She can take my Order. I said ok, she brought us Water. I tried to give her our order while we wait for the Grill to get Cleaned. And she said No. 5min after that. 2 Caucasian couples and A Caucasian man by himself walks in. And she turned Polite and Helpful. She got them their Drinks AND TOOK THEIR ORDER. AND CALLED IT!!! Then she comes back to my table with An Attitude. Not with the Same Energy She had with the Other Customers. 🤔🤔 When I Asked her why, she Gave me a bunch of B.S. Nevertheless 3 people Got their Food First that Came in After Me. After 25min I Finally got my Food After I asked for a Manager. I lost my Appetite and Tried to hold back my tears in front of my Kids. It hit me Much Harder knowing it was Another Black woman Displaying This Type of Behavior. Either way Black or white, purple or polkadot it Shouldn't have Happened. Waffle...

Waffle House is... Well, it's Waffle House! If you go there expecting a 4 course prime rib dinner, you are going to be disappointed. The food is simple and well-prepared and their waffles are pretty incredible!

As for this particular location, I have been here on several occasions during different shifts and the service has been prompt with little to no fuss. The overnight crew is my favorite and there is one cook on day shift (I can't remember his name but he's been a WaHo cook for decades) that pumps out some of their best meals!

I can't get enough of their "diced, capped. and covered" hashbrowns (get it in a bowl with double diced chicken and thank me later)!

The restaurant is kept relatively clean. HOWEVER, on a couple occasions, I've changed seats because the table or counter wasn't wiped down after the previous customer... AND, on one occasion, I had a roach try to share my space at the counter!!

Even with the shortcomings, I still recommend Waffle House - especially when you are hungry (late at night) and on a budget.

Parking at this location is easy and you can still find a decent spot when...

3/19/17 (7AM) Walk in WH find a seat... im asked to move to the "take out" area until i decide if im going to dine in or not... its only me & 1 other guest. Had they been busy i could understand that. So i was forced to tell them im dining in so i wouldnt have to move out of the comfort of my table. Finally the waitress approaches me with silverware & like i always do at every establishment i requested to go ware. She tells me TO GO silverware is only for TO GO guest... Not knowing i come to this location often as well as many others & i never have this problem. Had i said i want my food to go & decided after i got my food to sit dwn & eat there... she still would have gave me to go silverware... so to make things easy just give me what i ask for make the money & move on with your day. But instead she decided to make my request more difficult than it had to be and she allowed money to walk out of this establishment & her pocket. Lets not even include the fact that i order the samething every time at WH and its always a different price but thats...
