Service was 5 stars. Food was more 3.5-4 stars. We had a party of 3 for brunch at 11:00 am on Saturday, 2/4/23. There was no wait for a table and it never really got that crowded. Jen was our waitress and she was great! The restaurant felt elevated and nice, but you can still go in really casual attire.
Here’s what we got: Biscuit ($4): They accidentally sent out 2 biscuits, so we got to try both the buttermilk biscuit and the sweet potato biscuit. The buttermilk biscuit was a little hard. The sweet potato biscuit almost had the texture of bread pudding. It was kind of off-putting. Multi-Grain French Toast ($12): This was good! Came with Brussel-Potato Hash. The banana on top of the french toast was delicious! Chicken and Waffles ($15): The waffle was really good! The chicken was good too, but note that it was bone-in. A La Carte - Biscuit, Egg, Bacon ($4 each): On the menu, you can get these a la carte for $4 each, which comes out to $12. Or you could get a dish with all of them, called the Low Country Breakfast Platter for $14. My friend got it a la carte for $2 cheaper! They should probably fix that. She said the bacon was really good!
I’m glad to have tried it, but don’t really feel the...
Read moreMe and a couple of girlfriends had the pleasure of dining at this beautiful restaurant with such an amazing ambience last night. From the time you're greeted at the door until you're seated at your table the customer service is by far top notch! From our server to the bartender the drinks the appetizers the desserts everything was impeccable! I ordered the lamb and I ordered it medium which is how it should be cooked I'm not a big meat eater so I'm not used to eating my meat cooked medium so there was a little bit of concern with the pinkness of the Lamb; however the co-owner was kind enough to feed me a couple of gems about lamb and how is prepared and why it's prepared that way and wow wow wow I was blown away I had not been privy to that type of information before in reference to cooking foods and lamb in particular. So we were able to get all of that on top of a little bit of education on food and how it's prepared in one night! Salute to the MasterChef salute to the owners of this beautiful restaurant that is exquisite. I will not stop sharing or coming to show support to this establishment please do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this 💎. Every sip every bite was delicious and that's an...
Read moreI was truly hoping to give this restaurant a glowing review. I'll begin with the positive things about my experience. There's ample parking. The music and the overall atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly. The coffee was hot and fresh. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes. My food was quite tasty. However, the pancakes were very thin and more like crepes than pancakes. We had a reservation for 11 people and waited about 35 minutes to be seated. But since it's not a traditional restaurant, I was prepared to wait. Just know that when you visit this restaurant, you may have to wait to be seated. We did however wait in a nice waiting room area. Two people in our party ordered the shrimp and grits, and their food was not hot. I believe in supporting Black owned businesses, so I intend to visit Farmed Kitchen and Bar again. Maybe they were short staffed when we visited so they deserve a chance to receive the glowing review that I hoped to give. If I were to give them a number grade, I would...
