The food was very good. I love the desserts especially the red velvet cake. I have been a regular since I was a child and my grandmother took me every Sunday after church. The main issue is the service at the Northlake location. My partner and I walked up and were completely ignored by two ladies talking about one going on a date even going as far as turning around when I made eye contact. Finally after 10 minutes when we were putting our trays back up another lady came over and helped. She was younger and definitely better with guests. The second lady down near the vegetables never smiled and her only communication was uh huh and she rolled her eyes with everything that either of us said. Then we went and sat down and just tossed it up to a bad crew on the line. No one ever came over and said anythingto us, no napkins, no sauce no nothing. The majority of the employees were over in and around a booth goofing off and not taking care of work at all. There were dirty tables and when I needed something, I just got up and went for it. I do not know what was going on but the employees that have been hired are not people but only pulses and it explains why so many Piccadillys have closed down. It will be a shame when they all close but it will be there on fault. I gave 3 stars because the cake is great but it should have been zero. No one likes to feel like they...
Read moreI have been eating at Piccadilly since 1989. I still enjoy the nostalgia of such a grand place. But things are slipping. Not many of them left now. I have eaten here many times. But the last 2 times my chopped steak was "cold". I mean "room temperature" right out of the hot tray pan? I was starving and still ate it. The first time I thought was a "fluke". Then it happened again today? The food is usually hot at this restaurant? The green beans were "warm". Mashed potatoes were kinda warm. But the chopped steak was room temp. I could put it on top of my head easily and I wouldn't mind at all! The saving grace for this meal was the cherry cheesecake. That was very good. But at $3.79 for one slice... it HAS to be good! It was..but that price is a bit much for one slice of cheesecake. I still would like everyone to support the restaurant if you can and keep this classic going as long as we can. Hope they can turn it around. This meal cost $18 "before" the tip!! All of the staff I encountered were very nice though. P.S. the trays look like they were made in 1970. Wish we could get them replaced. There is only 1 thing worse than bad chopped steak. That is a GOOD chopped steak served cold?? Please somebody help.. this food has so...
Read more1 star because there is no way to say -5 on all counts. We walked in looked at the board in the entrance and the menu was for the day before.
My bestie wanted the meatloaf but there was none to be had. I inquired on the etouffee and again there was none. At this point we were informed that the items on the board were from the day before.
The ladies on the other side of the food counter behaved as if they had all drank from the same bitter punch bowl.
We were rushed to make our selections having no other clients behind us.
The greens seemed like they had been drained from a frozen package, and rinsed, then heated in hot water without any salt or flavorings. The brisket’s ajou was too salty and so was the Mac and cheese. I did enjoy the beets and the coconut cream pie was bland but edible without pain or discomfort.
Over all, the experience was not worth the money we paid as the corn bread seemed to have been stuffed with what seemed left over hash browns. The staff was not at all welcoming. This was our first and our last visit to this location. I can’t comment on my besties food but she did not eat like she eats when she is enjoying her meal.
I have had raw leaves better than...
