This bar has always been a gem to Tucson and it'd LBGTQ community for as long I can recall. As any other business management changes, bartenders move on and others get hired. All apart of the restaurant hospitality circle of life. However, a certain bartender who can not maintain personal life with their customers and work has really created a very bad reputation for this bar and those trying to have a good time. Several times this specific bartender will leave the bar unattended with at least 20 plus people sitting around the bar and there is no security on site. For being the face of the business and disappearing of minimal 15 to 30min is just unacceptable... something as a retail and restaurant manager is not tolerated and should be reprimanded for such negligence to their duties and especially when it comes down to serving customers and leaving money registers and alcohol unattended. Advice to all is ask who is bartending before going so not to run into this situation. Other bartenders are fantastic Patty, Chase and Camille, they are bomb!! If either of these three are present, expect a great time with good music...
Read moreThis is the best Gay bar in town, no judgement like you'd get at IBTs very diverse crowd and body positive, which I am super thankful for I judge myself plenty I don't need to go to a place and pay to get judged left right and center. The back patio is where I have seen the events take place and is usually where most people will be on weekends the front patio is the one u go to for a quieter place, where you can chat and enjoy your drink underneath the night sky with a friend or new people you just met because for the most part people are friendly as heck here... the Bartenders are the best plain and simple. It's a great place, I always tell people they need to go here because it is so great I can go dance my body till it's sore and tired then go to the front patio sit back have a drink and chat with a friend or a perfect stranger and a potential friend. Hell I have even gone back to dancing at the back patio when they have the DJ out there, usually on Sat Nights...
P.S. the best Corn Dog I have ever had in my life was here idk if they are always that good but it was...
Read moreNormally I have a great time at Brodie’s as the bartenders are very open to conversation and check on me if I need another drink. But tonight whom I believe to be the owner was standing next to me and in an unannounced manner put his arm around me to ask how I was. Not being comfortable with that, I removed his arm in the kindest way possible and told him that it was common courtesy to keep one’s hands to themself, BUT continued to say that it was nice to meet him. Seeming quite intoxicated, he was taken aback by my gesture and proceeded to talk badly about me, even telling the bartender not to serve me anymore after my one drink. Not wanting to start anything I didn’t address him. I finished my beer and left quietly.
I’ve been coming to Brodie’s for a couple years now. I enjoy its staff and atmosphere, but I surely was put off by this unprofessional behavior. If I’m not welcome back, so be it. I just hope that is...
