I really like Exo. I agree that it’s a PLEASANT industrial reclaimed wood and brick atmosphere (I promise, in a good way). I am not exactly young and I felt comfortable in this hip coffee shop and roaster with its nice mix of patrons and welcoming atmosphere. Add to that the really high quality coffee, with some great local options like chiltepin and local honey latte and mole and chocolate. Bottom line is they do the basic things incredibly well and do the add-on things even better. Loved the iced latte, the local honey iced latte, the cold brew (one of the best cold brews in the city, a city full of great coffee) especially, because it’s not too strong or off-putting with bitterness, you really do taste the coffee flavor. Baristas are approachable and pleasant, like the bar area in the rear, and the tables are comfortable. The accessories area has all I need - simple syrup and half and half. And they use the true paper straws, I like that. The roaster is for real. Talk about fresh! Still haven’t eaten here, which is a shame given how great the food looks, and how locally sourced everything is, let alone the options for vegans and gluten-free diets in terms of baked goods, plus the breakfast staples (eggs and meat). Really enjoy coming to this place when I’m anywhere near downtown and it is becoming a reason to go downtown in the first place.

Always appreciate Exo. This is a special kind of community space that has always been solid and is always evolving. The drink menu is always changing with local and regional options. When anyone comes to visit the city, this is one of the first recommendations. You can walk into most coffee shop and feel like you could be in any coffee shop anywhere in the world, but Exo really does feel regional and specific to Tucson. There is a special mood here, regional ingredients, and community. Also, they often sell out, but they generally have vegan options, or something for anyone. Also, this pandemic has been a really wild time. Seeing how they treated their employees and responded/adapted made me enjoy them more than I already did.

We loved coming here to get a quick coffee! This coffee shop has such a neat, rustic and authentic coffee house vibe. Very cool to see the roaster in the back of the shop too! Coffee was good and the customer service was even better. Gotta love the prices too! Paid $4.75 for a Mocha, if I’m remembering correctly. Seating is a little limited and all the seats were taken when we got there, so it looks like seating could be hit or miss and probably not the best place to study if you can’t even get a seat. But nonetheless a great coffee shop near downtown Tucson. We will be back for more!

The coffee is good but the service is non-functional to the point where I can never come back.

I work from home and so a nice coffee shop with lots of space and very good coffee is a wonderful find. For about a week I was able to come and go and get work done and enjoy myself at the same time. I loved it.

However, I recently brought my son along with me on a Saturday and my view drastically changed. First, we get here and my son needs to pee....but they've completely closed the bathroom with no indication that its ever going to be open. I already waited in a very, very slow (though not very long) line to order food that they ran out of but then I have to wait a second time and wait more. Now I've waited a very long time for nothing, the ice tea I ordered never even came, and other people around me are looking for their drinks too.

They were woefully understaffed and plainly overwhelmed.

Then I tell them, I have to cancel my order, we can't stay because they have no bathroom and I have a kid that needs to go. But they hassle me about it and make excuses like, "well the order is already in and so now I just have to take it....they can give it to me to go...." But I have to insist, it's an emergency, and begrudgingly they relinquish the hassle and allow me to leave with my $11.00.....I hope! Because I am currently not even sure the refund really went through or not (even though even THAT took a long time).

We were finally out of there, and sadly I am out a coffee shop. If I can't count on the bathroom being functional and if I can't count of reasonable customer service then I can't possibly ever come back. This was the only good coffee shop in my neighborhood with what looked like good accommodations for people like me. Now I am going to be forced to drive...

Venturing into this super hip coffee spot is like stepping into a caffeine-fueled oasis. The ambiance exudes a big city coffee shop vibe that instantly elevates your java experience.

Now, let's talk about the cold brew – it's not just good; it's a powerhouse of concentrated delight. Rarely do you find the good stuff with such an intensity of flavor, but this spot delivers it in spades. Each sip is a jolt of coffee excellence that's bound to satisfy even the most discerning caffeine connoisseur.

But what steals the spotlight is the chiltepin cold brew – a local twist that sets this place apart. The subtle kick of spice from the indigenous chiltepin pepper adds a layer of uniqueness to your coffee journey. It's a sip of local culture in every cup, and that touch of heat is nothing short of awesome.

In a city that never sleeps on its coffee game, this spot manages to stand out with a brew that's as bold as its surroundings. So, if you're craving a coffee experience that mirrors the energy of a bustling metropolis, look no further – this is your go-to spot for coffee that...
