I was pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this historic inn. Each of the 7 bedrooms is perfectly appointed with a mix of antiques (many original to the inn) and modern comfort. There is a lovely pool and hot tub just outside and many comfortable locations inside and out for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee or a cool drink. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable about the inn’s history, as well as local attractions, activities and restaurants. Everything about our stay was special, from the cool cloth I was given upon my arrival (the temperature was 112 degrees!) to the tasty breakfast. The inn is within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants and the interesting and historic old courthouse (where John Dillinger was tried and convicted). The Blenman Inn is on the route of the Turquoise Trail, a 2.5-mile walking trail through downtown Tucson that highlights sites of historic interest and is marked by a turquoise line on the sidewalk. I will definitely stay at the Blenman Inn next time I’m in Tucson.

An absolute gem, particularly if you want to step back in time to real B&Bs with real families and innkeepers hosting. The care for guests is very clearly first at the Blenman Inn. We mentioned on our way out the door for dinner that we needed to shop for shoes for our event the next day. When we got back, we had a wonderful handwritten card with store suggestions and addresses inside. Personal touches mean everything! Breakfast is buffet style and homey, great quality and beautifully presented. Tea and coffee are available 24/7, as is the small bar (they ask a mere $5/drink for the latter). The pool and hot tub are well kept and also 24/7. Our bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water for showers, and all amenities were cared for and clean. The pride of ownership is evident at every turn. Make time to listen to the home's history. Very interesting!

The Blenman Inn is one of the most enchanting locations in which I have ever stayed. Words cannot do it justice and photos only give you an idea, but nothing is like experiencing it. The energy feels great, the location is perfect, and the staff, Mollie and Rowan, as well as another adorable young woman whose name I can't recall, were kind and genuinely interested in providing excellence in customer service. To Blenman management, I don't know how you got so lucky to have such extraordinary gems on your team, but I would move heaven and earth to keep them polished and shining bright. It is rare to find such devoted and loving humans that actually want to provide excellent customer service, without the contrived phoniness of the new so-called customer experience. I stayed for 2 days and felt like I was home in the company of old friends.

I recently reserved a stay at The Blenman Inn through Booking.com, expecting a hotel environment as advertised. I also want to state that I absolutely did not want to make this review but have been forced to because speaking kindly and softly with the owner did not work. Let me be clear—I did not want to write this review. In the past five years, I have stayed at over 90 different hotels, and not once have I felt compelled to leave a review, let alone a negative one. I understand that issues arise; that is a part of normal life. However, what brings me here today is the owner’s complete and utter refusal to engage with their guests or make any attempt at rectifying issues. Their unwillingness to offer even the slightest accommodation is the sole reason for this review. As other reviewers have noted, their rigidity is astonishing. When everything runs perfectly, they seem fine. But the moment anything deviates from the ordinary, they show a blatant inability to work with their guests. It’s important to note that the Blenman Inn is not a traditional hotel but rather a home (with bugs) that is also listed on Airbnb. While, without bugs and bites, this setup may appeal to those specifically seeking a bed-and-breakfast experience, it is entirely unsuitable for business travelers or anyone expecting the amenities and professionalism associated with a hotel.||||As a busy medical professional, my needs were few but essential:|| 1. Adjustable air conditioning, given the extreme Arizona heat.|| 2. A quiet, environment appropriate for a working woman.|| 3. A dark room to ensure restful sleep.|| 4. Front desk assistance, especially for late check-ins or emergencies.|| 5. And of course, no bugs in the bed and bug bites.||||Unfortunately, none of these expectations were met. Upon arrival, I was dismayed to find that my room was located in the kitchen. Yes, that’s right. The front door of my room was…INSIDE the kitchen, and the room itself lacked the basic comfort of being able to adjust the air conditioning. Despite the 104°F temperatures, the ceiling fan would ONLY work if ALL the room lights were on—so that meant no sleep. The living conditions that night were inhumane. ADDITIONALLY, it was ONLY after my booking was confirmed that I was informed via a text message that no staff would be present in the evening or overnight.||||I sent SEVERAL text messages to the property management inquiring about the room. There was no response until the following morning, when I was awoken by the sounds of kitchen activity directly outside my door at 6:28 a.m. I could distinctly hear walking, fridge doors being opened and closed, plastic wrap being handled, bread being prepared, and the sound of silverware clattering—an entirely inappropriate setting for a hotel room.||||I spoke with the homeowner the next morning, who apologized and admitted that many guests absolutely “Hate or love” the room I was placed in. She offered to move me to another room but, to my shock, DECLINED my request for a refund for the unpleasant and uncomfortable first night.||||Unfortunately, my experience only worsened. After being moved to an upgraded room, I discovered bug bites on my arm the following morning. I have photographic evidence of these bites, which I shared with the homeowner. When I very kindly approached her as I was preparing to leave, I explained that I do not believe in causing unnecessary conflict and wished for an amicable resolution. I showed her the bug bites on my arms and right leg, which had also been affected. Her only response was to thank me for informing her, with no offer of resolution, before abruptly returning to saying, "We have amazing reviews, and we do not usually have these complaints. The bugs must have come up due to the rain." I found this response both shocking and entirely unprofessional. Failing to address the bug bites and other concerns I raised, while instead responding with, "We have amazing reviews, and no one else has mentioned this before," is reminiscent of how certain cases or victims are often dismissed simply because the majority do not experience the same issues, leaving those affected unheard and voiceless.||||To be clear, if this property were marketed as a bed-and-breakfast or Airbnb (and most DEFINITELY without bugs), I might be more understanding of the setup. However, it is marketed as a hotel on multiple booking platforms, and it does not meet even the basic standards of one. I contacted Booking.com, who confirmed that the property is indeed advertised as a hotel, and that each room should have its own adjustable air conditioning unit, which was not the case.||||In conclusion, while The Blenman Inn may appeal to those looking for a home experience, it is completely unsuitable for business travelers. The bugs, zero understanding of customer service, and failure to resolve significant issues such as bug bites make it impossible for me to recommend this property. Given my experience, I can only...

I am disappointed I can only give them 5 stars!!! There are SO many reasons to absolutely ADORE this place!!! The thought of a B&B has always unnerved me actually, I do not "people" well. This amazing little place only has a few rooms. We decided to stay 2 nights (my husband & I) on our way from CA to TX my husband being Army it was that time again. On a whim he found this place with a suite that is the same as his name so we kinda HAD to right? Immediately upon checking in after a 12 hour day on the road the 2 inn keepers (Joseph and Greg) were/are just the most AMAZING they got me settled in and the men set off after the bags from the car. Both of these inn keepers ARE keepers. They are the warmest most open guys you could ever meet. I am half in love with them myself after just 2 nights. They are brilliant at facilitating conversation. And the cooking?! Sweet baby Jesus it was beyond words good. I wish I could have them throw my next dinner party!! My husband and I are already negotiating a return visit in March for our 19th anniversary just to stay here with Joseph and Greg as opposed to the TX coastal region. They are the kind of guys you can't NOT want to be friends with. The rooms are gorgeous and cleaner than ANY chain hotel ever. I travel every month for work to a different city I have been in A LOT of hotels and none of them are in this league. The jetted tub in my room was immaculate and wonderful. The "lobby" is so picturesque it seems pulled straight from a fantasy. The entire hotel and the experience of staying and having them take CARE of you is just dreamy. They booked our dinner for us and had shopping suggestions and knew where to go to just have a beautiful time. These will be some of my most treasured memories in my life. I can never say thank you or be thankful enough to make them understand that by just being themselves and brilliant at what they do they made my life wonderful even if only for a few days. If you are even considering staying here the choice is easy trust me you WILL NOT go wrong or regret a...
