Historic, upscale hotel in downtown Tucson - you won’t regret staying here! I wish every hotel stay would be like my stay here. Thankful for all your team does and keep up the amazing work! Service: every member of the team (Rey, new trainee Jayden, Chris, Brian, and Anita or Andrea) I interacted with was frankly excellent! From a warm check-in to helping me with downtown Tucson restaurant recs, to greeting me by name - the whole team is exemplary. Also, Emma’s at the Santa Cruz offered friendly breakfast service. Room: I had booked a regular King Room and was upgraded to an ‘Elevated’ larger king room with a small sitting area. The room is spacious and features stylish, modern design and finishes throughout including local highlights like a cowhide chair and saguaro and desert themed wall hangings. The king bed is massive with one of the comfiest duvets I’ve ever tried. The air conditioning is efficient but quiet. The bathroom was excellent with high-end Kohler appliances including one of the best shower water pressures I’ve experienced. There’s small touches throughout showing the Leo Kent’s dedication to an upscale experience - remote phone charger (with an alarm display that could be turned off!), fluffy towels, and a new mini-fridge with glass door. Facilities: the lobby features a seating area, there’s a fitness room, and there’s an onsite restaurant, the Santa Cruz -loved the breakfast quinoa bowl (hearty, fresh and delicious!) Parking: self-parking is $32/night but there’s plenty of free street parking around the hotel for weekend visitors.

We are rating the Leo Kent () stars because we ran into a few issues before and during our stay here. We had booked the reservation with our titanium elite bonvoy member status back in august which include two king rooms for 5 days and 4 nights. Our stay was in November. When arriving at the hotel, a staff member stated we did not have a reservation and they they could not find the reservation in their system. After making multiple attempts to locate the reservation through name and confirmation number, we were instructed to call Marriott Bonvoy ourselves to figure out what was going on. Marriott staff instructed Leo Kent that they needed to pull their queue of reservations. After about an hour or so, Leo Kent stated they did this and claimed to find our reservation (was even able to upgrade rooms due to our status) but instead had booked us for a walk in for one night. We didn’t realize this until the following day after returning from a morning of breakfast and exploring that we were locked out of both our rooms. Staff was able to fix one room but was unable to correct the other. Management was called at this point, managers name is Jessica. After some time of back and forth, Jessica spoke to us with attitude the duration of the conversation and stated there were no more rooms available due to a busy event in town, which we were in town to attend. Continuously repeated this and how our reservation was for two king rooms and not what we currently had (remember we were able to upgrade due to our Marriott status), that we were a walk in, and made it sound like we had to leave the hotel to find a new place to stay. We even called Marriott again to make sure we weren’t in the wrong with our reservation. Eventually she stated there was an executive room available that we could have. She stated she would help us move our things to the new room as they had to give our current one away to another customer. We went upstairs to wait for over 30 minutes, even called downstairs and she said she was busy and would get up there when she could. When bringing up our frustration again, the manager stated that rooms are for paying customers as if we didn’t drop over $3100 to stay here, continued to have an attitude and didn’t apologize once until after the whole situation was done. We had gone back down to inquire about rewards for our status as normally they ask if you want points or vouchers. Jessica claimed that our member status was not connected to the reservation, but was allegedly able to add it and we asked for points. Unsure if this was added or not. We contacted Marriott and filed a complaint, during check out, spoke with Erica about our stay and she apologized on behalf of the hotel and provided us with a copy of our receipt. All in all we would not...

My expectation was high because of good reviews but I was disappointed to arrive to a room that wasn't clean. There were a candy wrapper and small trash on the floor and whiskers in the sink. I get it, they were stuck against the bed and whiskers weren't much but it was unpleasant. I called the desk and they said they would send the house keeping. We went out and returned 2 hours later and it was still not cleaned. The next day, we returned to the hotel and the door was ajar. It was annoying but I didn't want to complain. Despite leaving the towels on the hooks, trying to be eco-friendly, those towels were replaced with a single set of new towels each night. There were 2 of us. On the day of check-out, we decided to stay until close to the check-out time. It seemed the house keeper wanted to get it going, knocked our door, and looked disappointed that we were still in the room. Instead of a friendly apology, we were reminded that it was our check-out day. Guests cannot turn on the AC. Their AC will sense the presence of people and then turn on but only after 15 minutes or so. The room was uncomfortably warm when we arrived and there was no explanation of that until we called and a nice maintenance person came to explain that to us. A month later, I noticed that we were charged for wifi (if you have Marriott account, it should be free). I called and the person said they would reimburse it later that day but I never got it so I just let the credit card company deal with it. It faces on congress street and you can hear cars so bring your ear plugs (which I am fine with). At this price range, I have never received such poor service. The positives were that the location is very convenient and the front desk people were friendly and nice. They have a parking for $40 or so but you can park on street for free and it seemed quite...

Stopped by the restaurant inside the hotel to grab some drinks and immediately fell in love with the place. The decor is the perfect combination of classy and cozy; Earth-toned furniture, comfy seating areas for reading, shelves filled with books by Arizona authors, a 360 degree bar with plants draped above. It has such a cool take on the modern southwestern style. Beyond the ambiance, the staff there were so present and welcoming. I had in-depth conversations about the hotel, restaurant, food and cocktails with the bartender, Adam, and the F&B director, Breya. My friends and I tried a few of their cocktails: the Ultima Palabra, which was a take on a Last Word with mezcal, the Bright Idea, served in a lightbulb shaped glass and had a very refreshing kick of yuzu liqueur, the Jalapeño Cucumber Margarita, OMG! it was just everything you could possibly want from a margarita. We also tried their daily specialty cocktail which was a watermelon agua fresca margarita. I would've had ten of them if I wasn't planning on trying their House Cocktails, so good! For food, we tried their Ceviche, it was served Aguachile style topped with crispy "strings" of sweet potato. I'm not typically fond of shrimp, however, the flavors and textures in the dish were unlike anything I could imagine from such a common Mexican food. The other dish I tried was their Southwest Bowl with chicken added to it. The chicken had a big punch of flavor and the bowl was super yummy and filling. I can't wait to try their other offerings, namely the Ahi Tuna Poke. Needless to say, they will definitely be seeing me...
