I was not impressed; I was VERY impressed!
I visited the brand new Jersey Mike's here just off of Valencia (@4874 South Suite 180, Valencia.) You can't miss it from the new shopping center opposite and staring the Hobby Lobby and the overpriced Red Robin.
For a sandwich eatery, this is the only location (I know) minus one in Franklin, TN that absolutely hits it for me.
On Saturday, July 20th, I walked in to give them a looks-see... Quickly greeted by Paul who is the Store Manger, he set me up with a recommended sandwich. (Full disclosure, I wanted to see how friendly, courteous and open the staff is and how they assist, recommend and identify what they consider hit meals.) He set me up with a recommendation all the way through the toppings. All the while, Chase, the G.M. and Carlos a new member were ALL cleaning, wiping down and paying detailed attention to the preparation/kitchen area's cleanliness. They were all working in sync, with professionalism and speed. I don't see this connection of management often and having set up restaurants before, they were clearly guided on to do it correctly. Again, I wasn't impressed; I was VERY impressed...
The restaurant was clean smelling, light, airy, T.V.'s on the wall and stacked with customers just past noon. The digital receiving/phone call counter behind their prep area was tidy, very modern and ready for emailed in requests.
To say they were on top of the - and their game is an understatement. The sandwich was delish, fresh and tasty. Their customer service was top notch and respectful. This is how you do Deli-Sandwich eateries... Great job...
Read moreJersey Mike's is one of my favorite sub sandwich shops! Their bread has great flavor and is good and thick! This is important because I always get my sandwiches done Mike's way. This means onions, lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar, and spices. The oil and vinegar don't make their breads soggy! (I can't stand soggy bread). They put generous helpings of meat, cheese, and toppings. I have never left this place feeling hungry. The regular size is more than enough to fill me up. If I want chips with it I get the small. If you have a healthy appetite then the foot long large sandwich might be for you! These are not sandwiches for the faint of heart!
My sandwich recommendations would include the club (bacon, turkey, and provolone with mayo and done Mike's way), the Italian (4 or 5 different Italian meats with all the toppings you want), and any of the cheese steaks (the big Kahuna is the best!). If you don't want bread you can get any sandwich in a bucket. It's all the flavor with no...
Read moreHad two girls working at 8pm on 6/10/2024 and had the most bizarre encounter. I asked for rosemary parm bread and they immediately started slicing wheat.I had to politely intervene to make sure it was the right bread. Then, I ask for no ham and instead pepperoni on my sandwich and the young lady proceeds to grab ham and puts it on the slicer. Once again I had to interject to correct her to make sure the wrong ingredient didn’t end up on my sandwich. I believe my order wasnt complicated just one simple substitution and yet had to correct the young lady multiple times before each step of making my sandwich. The other young lady who rang me up also charged me for extra meat when I only substituted one meat for another and have not been previously charged extra in the past ( on several occasions). I politely told her that I wasn’t aware of an extra charge and she just looked at me and proceeded to continue to ask for me to...
