Wow! What a terrible experience!
I'd like to start by saying that I've never "Karened" out and resorted to leaving reviews, but here I am.
If you want good pizza and good service, go to Jaime's Pizza, just a little further down the street. Trust me—it’s cheaper and way better.
The pizza at this NYPD? Way overpriced for quality I’d expect from Domino’s and customer service straight out of the MVD. They actually charge over $2 per topping, but they sneak that little detail into the fine print.
I live just steps away from this place, so I come here from time to time. Today I ordered a medium combo, which is supposed to have sausage and pepperoni. As you can see in the picture (if you have good eyesight and zoom in a lot), there was literally one slice of pepperoni (sitting on top of the cheese) and a pathetic amount of sausage. I get that they’re struggling for business just months after opening, but that’s no excuse to rip people off.
I called and very politely explained the situation, even offering to send them a picture. I live right next to the place so I'm naturally a somewhat frequent customer, why would I start off rude? The manager laughed at me, said she didn't care to see the picture, and told me the best she could do was a $2 refund. She legitimately even admitted she could issue a full refund but just didn’t feel like it this time. Unbelievable. Then they tried to tell me they "put the meat under the other toppings." So basically, they expect me to believe they stacked the pizza with so many toppings (bell peppers and onions) that I somehow can’t see the meat. As you can see in the picture, they were light on those toppings too!
The boss, a heavyset old man, was just as rude and unprofessional. But honestly, what should I expect from a grown man who makes pizza for a living, and is failing even at that? The...
Read moreI been coming here since you been on wilmot road. My dad supported your small buisness. (Used too) slice pies are made hours or even days before hand and thrown in the walk in until people start ordering slices then they are re heated. Pizza crust is still white when it comes out the oven and to him this is "cooked". Too much cheese. Soggy in the middle everytime. OK now that's the food.
The owner mark fontana As a workplace owner, your attitude significantly impacts your business's culture, employee morale, productivity, and overall success, acting as a powerful force that can either inspire or demotivate your team. Your negative attitude and the way you treat people are beyond me.
I recently had a disappointing encounter with Mark Fontana, the owner of NYPD Pizza. Unfortunately, his attitude and behavior fell short of expectations.
As a business owner, Mark's demeanor sets the tone for the entire establishment. His abrasive and dismissive attitude can be off-putting, making it challenging for customers or workers to feel welcome or valued.
In my experience, Mark's behavior seemed to prioritize his own interests over customer or employee satisfaction. His response to feedback was defensive and unyielding, indicating a lack of willingness to listen or adapt.
As a long time customer, I expect a certain level of respect and professionalism, especially from a business owner. Mark's behavior failed to meet these expectations, leaving a negative...
Read moreI’ve never in my life have been treated as horrible as I was here and threatened to show me how they would assault me if I stayed around one more second. This is all after I said the pizza was undercooked and literally can pinch at the dough from the bottom. Not recommended and the attitude is uncalled for here, they can take that back to NY -I don’t even want to visit that state now. Bad food...
