Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Tucson

we go to this Texas Roadhouse location like 1-2x a month and we’ve had nothing but exceptional experiences.

we went this sunday and had the worst service ive experienced at any restaurant ever. i won’t name my server because i want to assume the best and she may have been having an off day.

we got to the restaurant at 8, ordered by 8:05 (we typically order the same thing so we don’t take much time to order). we received our drinks quickly but didn’t get any straws until the next time our server came to check on us (about 10 minutes after we initially got our drinks). for context, we both orders lemonades and weren’t able to mix the syrup at the bottom and by the time we got straws, our drinks were completely watered down. we didn’t receive our salads until 8:40. we didn’t get our dinner until 8:55 - but when we did get our food, both of our steaks were completely cold and the potatoes and fries we ordered were also cold.

we had finished our drinks before the salads even came out, but weren’t asked if we would like a refill until our dinners came out. we finished at around 9:00 (the food was cold and unbearable and we were so annoyed with our experience that we just wanted to go home). we wanted to-go boxes so we could try to reheat the food at home (since we spent $50 and didn’t want to waste it), but our server did not come to our table. i made eye contact with her multiple times and each time she would walk to the other side of the restaurant and talk with another server in the aisle or she would stand at the POS and be on her phone.

at 9:15 (15 minutes after close), another server came to our table and asked if everything was okay because she had noticed our server hadn’t approached our table. we had been sitting there, not eating, waiting for her. multiple other employees were cleaning the area around us and by the time anyone acknowledged us, we were the only people in our section. it was completely frustrating to have been forgotten about by our waitress. the other server that checked on us ended up getting our to-go boxes, and i wish we would have been able to tip her instead. we wanted to speak to someone in charge just to let them know that our server had delivered a really horrible service, but we felt bad being in the restaurant so late after close so we...

Table was dirty so i asked waitress if they could wipe it down, she did send a busser over to wipe down the table but he did a bad job and wiped all the leftover crumbs on the table on to my lap which was just gross and unacceptable in my opinion. We ordered an appetizer and i guess it got sent to the wrong table but by the time our server noticed this our main course was already on its way out so we canceled the appetizer. The waitress was doing her best considering that our table was tucked away in a corner and you couldn’t really see us well all things considered. But after ordering our food the service was slow at best… my steak came out BURNT. I ordered Med-well steak and it came out crispy and overdone… even if i had ordered a well-done steak this would have been beyond well done. It was inedible… our server did get us a new steak but by the time she had tried to resolve the issue my boyfriend had already finished his meal and we were honestly just ready to leave at that point but i didn’t want to leave disappointed. A manager brought me a new steak that was more on the medium side but i ate it.. i told the manager that i hate to complain and i know our server was doing the best she could but our experience was bad from start to finish. He said he would take care of it for us but next thing we know, our waitress is coming over to our table being VERY CONFRONTATIONAL because he told her that i complained about the service. We sat at that table much longer than i would have liked and i didn’t think it was very professional of her or her manager to handle the situation the way they did. Finally after asking for a manager AGAIN we got our previously promised discount and basically ran out of there. I do not recommend this location. I don’t expect a 5 star dining experience from Texas Roadhouse but in the future we’ll drive to one of the other locations in town with decent staff and...

I was disappointed on our service last night, we went in after celebrating a graduation from HS, yes of course we did show up late but they asked the manager if it was ok for us to be served and they said it was perfectly fine. We would of been ok if they said no. The service provided to us from the waitress was horrible they were so rude to our entire party. The only name I can remember is Haven, her lack of respect for us was horrible. We had asked for more bread and they told us that there was no more bread, even said the "Bread guy went home" though there was 6 baskets of bread on the counter top and bread was being taken to other tables when addressed and asked why we were told there was no more bread yet other tables were getting some, they brought our tables bread and literally threw them on the tables. Three of us asked for ranch and Haven decided to throw us one ranch. One of the kids asked for another strawberry lemonade and was told there was no more strawberry. When it was time to pay our order, Haven stood there at our table while we were going to pay, when she noticed that I chose only 15% tip (which was generous, based off her attitude towards us the entire time we were there was horrible) she snatched the table kiosk from our hands and told us ok you are good. Almost didn't even allow us to take back our credit card. We come to this restaurant quite a bit and have never experienced such horrible service ever. Once again I understand that we showed up before closing but they could of easily told us that it was too late.
