I was a little disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. It was recommended to me by some friends and I thought I would try it out. As someone who is well versed with Indian food it fell short of my expectations. I ordered a samosa which should be pretty basic to prepare. It came out cold. They made it again and it was hot but the masala inside was raw and it wasn’t cooked prior to stuffing it. Furthermore the consistency was like mashed potatoes. The Chana masala was bitter unfortunately. Also the biryani wasn’t flavorful and aromatic as biryanis usually are. Raita was basically water. I hope my comments are helpful for the restaurant and their future patrons.
I wasn’t going to say this but after reading how the owner reacts to some of the bad reviews, I think I’d better say something. The staff was borderline rude at times, especially when we made a comment about their samosas. As someone who has owned restaurants, you have to learn to take bad criticism just as well as you take the good, if not better. If people are going to spend good money on your food, then it is important to listen when there is an element of dissatisfaction. This is how we improve!...
Read moreJust got back from Zyka Twist where B-Line used to be. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, and Veggie Samosa. With two sides of Naan. The samosa was brought out first and was amazing. The crust perfect as well as the filling. When the rest came out the four of us were extremely happy. The sauces were perfectly seasoned and the meat tender. The lamb was extremely tender and tasty. Which is usually not the norm for lamb in many places. Everything was perfection. The naan I have to say is the best I have tasted in all the Indian restaurants in Tucson. Really it’s that good. Without noticing this has now become our go to for Indian going forward. Just amazing food. A note though spicy is spicy. We’re all one for the spice and we enjoyed it. But for folks that don’t I suggest medium when asked. We got the lamb medium and it had a hint of heat. I can’t recommend enough. If you enjoy Indian you’re in...
Read moreHusband and I went to Zkya Twist on 4th Ave for lunch yesterday. It was our first time there and chose it after reading reviews to satisfy my craving for Indian cuisine comfort food. Service was great, food was incredible! We ordered the Mango Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Nann Bread. We shared a some of each dish and everything was absolutely delicious! Generous portions for taking home leftovers. We had it for dinner again last night and still have enough for my lunch today. Cozy table set up, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The only small distraction in atmosphere was stand up floor fans (which were a bit noisy and rattling) instead of air conditioning. Not sure if air conditioning was broke or they just don't have AC which would be unusual in Tucson. Still, we were comfortable and the food was absolutely worth it! Highly recommend! We will...
