Captain D's — Restaurant in Tullahoma

In years past Captain D’s in Tullahoma has struggled with their inventory. Every time I came in they were out of something. Sometimes it was baked potatoes, or cocktail sauce. One time it was tea and another it was ketchup. Ketchup? Who runs out of ketchup when fries is a staple on your menu?! Well, McDonalds in Tullahoma, but that is another review. However, lately Captain D’s has stepped up and they have everything in stock and available. This visit they were out of green beans🙄. In their defense it was an evening visit. The food was very good. My regular is the Salmon. I’ve gotta get those Omega 3 ‘s. It wasn’t perfect, but even the top restaurants tend to overcook their seafood. The best veggie by far is the corn on the cob. It arrives very HOT and in a bag to keep it that way. The butter is refrigerated so I peel their lids and turn them upside down on my cob and let the heat melt the butter. Every 30 or so seconds I rotate the cob until it is richly buttered. It’s very sweet and fresh tasting. Peaches and cream corn can not hold a candle to this! Even in the dead of winter, this tastes garden fresh! Stop in and just order a corn on the cob, or add it to your fish and chicken meal. If you are a fan of corn on the cob, you will love what the Captain has to offer. Be sure to get plenty of napkins, you are going...

This was one of the weirdest meals I’ve ever eaten…My boyfriend and I wanted to try this place for the first time and when we asked what kind of fish they use, one employee said “white fish” and another said “regular fish”. That made me look it up myself and it’s allegedly Alaskan pullock if anyone is also curious. The guy behind the register told my boyfriend he could get 2 sides, so he ordered two, then come to find out we were charged for one. Both soda fountains had to have the syrups swapped, there was a bed of crumbs under my fish??, I was supposed to get 6 pieces of shrimp and got 5, it looked like a bite was taken from one of my hush puppies, there was a lettuce stem in my boyfriends sandwich, his fries were sitting in grease, and that extra side we didn’t know was extra was $4 for a tiny scoop of mac and cheese!! The food was very bland and even the tartar sauce didn’t really have a flavor. The only flavor I got from my whole meal was the old batter on the fish…It’s sad when the sides are better than the entrees. It was also very pricey ESPECIALLY for what you get! There was only one other table with people at it and it was very unwarming/unwelcoming inside. We had to pay over $30 for just the two of us to not even like...

My husband and I ate dinner at this location on 12/11/18,I once was a night shift manager for Captain D's in Decherd,Tn years ago .Our cashier at this location ,(Tullahoma) Jeanne,waiting to order, cashier picked up a cup and was drinking from it,told us just a minute,walked off,came back to finish our order she was then eating apiece of fried okra.My husband asked for sup sfd trio which price on window clings was$4.99,I ordered some fsh tender meal which also $4.99.Before ordering asked her about the meals and "said,I don't know what's on the windows",when we got our food,it was cold except my hush puppies.Cashier was cleaning tables in between orders ,when someone came in she was saying under her breath",just go away".We we're hungry and tired so we usually will address the problem but didn't and told each other we won't be back for a long time.They we're also out of their regular fish used on orders,it was all Country Style,which is usually good,but not at that time.Im sorry...
