McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Tullahoma

only great place to go if you like to pay expensive prices for tiny bland portions. the general manager and his wife are the worst people i’ve ever worked for. they belittle the employees and i’m not the only one who feels this. other employees and people i know as well know this to be true. i’ve had multiple people that have eaten there come up to me saying the manager and his wife talk so badly to their employees, especially the wife. she will yell and be unprofessional in front of customers, not only embarrassing them but making herself look like a fool. she doesn’t listen to anyone and anything anyone else says is wrong. lunch breaks are rarely ever given out and when food is ordered, the manager complains out food costs, like she doesn’t care to feed her own employee’s. i was told in the beginning that my training hours wouldn’t be much, but that i would get more hours as i learn and later on in the job. i was still out down in the system as full-time. i didn’t think 3 months later i would be getting even less hours than the training ones. at first, they made an excuse that it was the lack of hours that could be given. this was not true at all. many employees including ones in school were getting more hours than me and would be working doubles. they also put on indeed that they were hiring. that sounds like they have hours to give away to me. I’ve been out of school for a couple years and i need more than 8 hours a week to pay my bills. marc mann is a liar and him and his wife need to learn how to communicate to each other. she made the excuse of them not talking about work while being at home, but i don’t believe they ever talked about it. they would be very aggressive at work as well when upset with each other. that’s not very professional to me. i was also told during my interview that if he reason i got the job was “because of my smile”. i’m not sure what he meant by that but it came across as creepy and like i was going to be used to my image and not my skills, which is exactly how they wanted me to work. i would be doing tasks and my job but they constantly wanted me to just stand by the food window for looks. this place is a wasted space and should be replaced with a...

Placed an online order to pick up. Scheduled it for 11:00am. Went inside at 11:05 and it wasn't on the shelf for H-M. All of the orders on the shelves were pushed way back with the tickets facing towards the employees, so I didn't want to check and touch other people's orders looking for mine. There was one fairly large order on the shelf mine should go on, and sure enough it went out the drive through to a customer. So I stood there and politely waited for them to bring my order out. They weren't busy at all, and multiple employees, including a manager, saw me and three others waiting, but only asked one of the other customers their name.

I watched as the minutes ticked by and as two people came inside to order to-go, then had their to-go orders given to them. Not a single employee came out with my order and it was 11:20 at this point. I had to actively get an employee's attention and tell them my order was supposed to be ready at 11:00. They went to the shelves and pulled my order off the A-G shelf. My last name starts with M. It had been sitting on the wrong shelf the entire time. That's okay, I can overlook a small mistake like that...

But, they should have had ALL orders pushed forward with name tickets easily readable to pick up customers OR ask people you see have been waiting 20 minutes for their name and check! It was frustrating. Incredibly frustrating. I was visiting from out of town, but if I ever find myself in Tullahoma again, I'm probably going to get lunch...

McAlister’s is definitely one of the top “deli/restaurants” I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot of McAlisters, but this one seems to pull up every time. Almost all the staff are friendly and professional, the interior is very clean, and has plenty of tables and space, it’s always hard to choose what to eat, that’s because almost everything is amazing. If it isn’t, they’re very good at making it right. This is one of the best places in my opinion in Tullahoma with everything combined. In the picture you’ll see the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch with their always amazing Mac n Cheese. If I listed all the best items, id have 3/4 of them menu on here at LEAST. But if you haven’t had their infamous SPUD all of them rock, and for sandwiches the Italian and the Smokey pepper jack turkey are some other winners. So to sum it up Keep on Keeping on...
