I do not normally do this but I was completely and utterly shocked by the reaction from the employees and manager working at this store. This was at approximately 10:00 pm on a Friday night August 5th. When going through the drive through I ordered a simple large strawberry yogurt mix. I don't usually order at Braums (a special treat) so when she asked if I wanted a small I said no I will go with a medium (which I guess you only have small and large). When I got to the window she took my money and all was good until I got my mix. I asked if that was a medium and the gentleman (different from the lady) said no you ordered a small and told me to look at my receipt as if I was an idiot for thinking I would get something other than a small. I told him that I asked for a medium and since you didn't have mediums I would like to pay the difference for a large. I handed him one more dollar. He gave me a real bad look turned and called out to his manager. After a few minutes he came back with the large in hand which had no lid, spoon, straw, or napkin to accompany the quickly melting mix. I thanked him for the mix and asked him if I could have my change back as well from the dollar I gave him. Without saying anything he turned and an employee huddle quickly formed as he said "This guy is really pissing me off. I can't deal with this". Loud enough that I could hear it through he drive through glass. As I waited for my change I waved to a female employee and asked her if I could get a lid and a straw. She turned to get the lid and straw while rolling her eyes in the process. That is when I decided to say that I was a business owner myself and that I would never roll my eyes at a customer. The manager came back with the change and no new receipt. He gave me the change and slammed the window. The change really doesn't matter to me (still not sure if I got the correct change or not) but the fact that everyone was mad and taking it out on a random person who simply want to enjoy a nice ice-cream after working really hard all week was a little frustrating. Someone needs to go into this store and work out who needs to stay and who needs to go some place else. I was half tempted to go back to the store and ask if everyone was doing ok. I called corporate to warn them about rancid whipped cream being sold here after I bought a bad can, showed up a week later and ordered three sundaes but each of them had the soured cream so clearly nothing was done about it. I came in with one of the sundaes as proof but threw the others away, told them their whipped cream is sour and they didn’t believe me, wouldn’t even taste it to see. They kept pointing to the expiration date and I kept telling them to taste it and see, but they wouldn’t. I asked for a refund, but they said they wouldn’t refund me without a receipt — even though I was there ten minutes earlier talking to the one who served me through the window, had a sundae in my hand, and I showed them the pending charge with their store number on my bank app to prove I was just there. Nothing.
They said they could remake my items, but I told them I have no guarantees that any of the ingredients they’re using are fresh so I was not interested in replacements. They demanded the items back anyway even though they couldn’t refund any of it and having it remade was not an option.
