Let me just start by saying that I've been a full time stay at home mom for 5 years this is the first time I have been able to get away from my babies so my husband did a side job just to take me to this place I've been telling you about it never been but I've been wanting. So we get there I order the shrimp basket my My husband orders the alligator bite basket and we decided to take my teenage son with us cuz we never get to spend one on time he ordered the chicken basket and then we ordered an order of crab legs. It was probably the worst food I have ever tasted let's just start with the alligator basket The alligator was just burnt almost black The prize were so greasy you couldn't even eat them they were they were cold The chicken basket comes with hush puppies the hush puppies were burnt I mean and they were so gross. The shrimp basket was okay I've had better shrimp to be honest with you for the price I paid for it The portions are so little for the pricing that you pay for these so anyways my order comes out to almost $100 and we were very disappointed so when we went to go leave I had asked the young lady at the cash register is there a manager I can speak with she said no I said there's no kind of a manager at all here and she said nope I said um ok she said he just left for the day he won't be coming back. She said is there a problem explain to her she goes well you can write your name and number down and I'm like what then the other girl that I believe takes your order she overhears she asked me what's going on I told her what was happening she got super apologetic apologized super sweet and I was like is there anyway you can give the manager a call or something I mean this is just a call for you know people spend a lot of money here for this food for it to be like this and she was already in the process of grabbing the phone to call anyways without my request so she called the manager of the manager did come in and I will say that he was very pleasant very sweet he apologized he refunded my food which I was really grateful for we have a massive seafood boil going on at my house in the next couple weeks and so we weren't just there to eat we were there to also look to see what they had cuz my husband and his co-workers are all coming in we're all chipping in's going to be this big thing see what they had I told my husband maybe we should try to go back to get some things for the seafood boiled but after the experience my husband said no he will never go back to this place again and honestly I don't blame him it's a lot of money for the crap food that you get not to mention our crab legs were so overcooked so overcooked that the Crab meat was you just couldn't eat it you couldn't not eat it like it was just it was not edible never eat there again never try there again and I suggest if you guys want some good seafood to go someplace else...

DISAPPOINTING! Love Cajun food and this is nearby my gym and been wanting to try it out. I tried the Hurricane and wondered if there was any alcohol in it at all. Seemed very Kool-Aid like. Ordered the shrimp and crab cakes, and was wondered if they were even made from scratch or if so they were prepared ahead of time and frozen till ready because they had that left in freezer awhile taste and the inside was bit mushy. Then I ordered the smothered fish in which the server asked me if I wanted it grilled or blackened. So I got it blackened. In fact, I asked for extra blackened. The dish came out and had no real authentic smell or look to it. The rice, bland; the corn maque choux tasted like frozen corn out of the bag, the fish was barely blackened in fact I think they waved the seasoning over the fish is all, and the shrimp étouffée was some sort of gelatinous sauce tasted like made from corn starch with no real seasoning or substance. When I received the bill, noticed some discrepancies: for one the drink was priced more than stated on the menu and I was charged $3 for blackening which was neither listed on the menu nor by the server. When I mentioned it to the server when I gave her my card she acknowledged my concern returned with my card but the receipt was gone. I don't mind paying but what I don't mind is being secretly charged for it and for a horrible blackening at that. Definitely will not be retuning and told all my friends not to go either, which is sad. I did have some high hopes for this place, the service was pretty good and they had a picture of Paul Prudhomme (legendary cajun chef) on their wall which really gave me...

⚠️⚠️ Do not and I REPEAT do not go here for boiled crawfish⚠️⚠️

Before going here I looked at reviews and photos, everything looked good to go. We ordered a fried oyster po boy and 3 lbs of boiled crawfish. The wait alone was extremely long and there were three other tables. The po boy was mediocre, if you know anything about fresh seafood then upon one bite you will be able to tell that they use frozen pre fried oysters. The crawfish .... oh lord the crawfish!!! They brought out ketchup which was my first clue that this was going down hill. Now being from Louisiana, I hold restaurants to a different standard when it comes to crawfish. However, I cracked a crawfish and they were dirty. They were not fresh crawfish and they were extremely overcooked. The meat literally turned to mush in my fingertips. When I told the waitress, I was questioned how I knew anything about how crawfish are supposed to be cooked. I refused to eat that trash. My husband tasted the one and he almost threw up. I was still charged and expected to pay. Also, they dictate the price even when another price is displayed in the restaurant. They have three different prices for crawfish.... whatever the waitress/cashier says, the displayed advertisement in the restaurant, and the menu. Please do not waste your time with this place. It is no where near "cajun". It's outright disgusting and an insult to...

Seat yourself. Table service. The restaurant is very clean, roomy, comfortable. Bayou, Louisiana, New Orleans, and Mardi Gras, themed decorations all around. Every type and brand of Cajun seasoning known to exist is available to purchase. A freezer and refrigerated display case has other food items to go. Start your meal with the fried Boudin balls. The best item on the menu. Big balls of spicey deep fried Boudin with a smokey remoulade dipping sauce. These are addictive. I ordered the combo. A half, fried catfish Po’ boy and a small bowl of Chicken and Andouille Gumbo. I was hoping for blackened catfish, but the waitress said “no can do.” They don’t do blackened anything. The Gumbo was very greasy, not a lot a flavor. A good application of Slap Ya Mama, brought it to life. A good size piece of catfish with a little shredded cabbage and the smokey mayo made for a tasty half Po’boy. It was a good combo meal. My wife had a nice small side salad with a cup of the “Low Land Gumbo,” It was generously filled with crab, shrimp, chicken and Andouille sausage. She liked it. It had a strong fish taste. Too strong of a fish aroma for me. So much for the clean floor. The you lady waiting on us had a little trouble handling the bowls of Gumbo. She left a trail of Gumbo grease from the kitchen to our table. Check the pictures. And watch your step on the way out.

We arrived at 3:15 on a Wednesday and had the whole place to ourselves. Food was delicious and the service was exceptional. There were so many menu options we had a hard time deciding. So we started with shared crab and shrimp cakes with their special remoulade sauce and a bowl of low country gumbo with potato salad. The food was so good I didn't even stop to take pictures! Our main dishes were both etouffee; his shrimp, mine crawfish. These came with a lovely corn dish and an average cole slaw. We had fully intended on taking half of this food home with us, but we couldn't stop eating because it was so delicious! We finished off with 3 puffy beignets. The restaurant features an extensive spice & sauce bar so that you can add as much seasoning as you like to make your meal perfectly customized! Don't forget to look behind the French Quarter sign for the unique selection of beer! We also picked up some frozen chicken andouille, Zatarain's mustard, and etouffee sauce mix for cooking at home. I highly recommend this restaurant! We will be returning and trying everything on their menu.
