Heritage Afro Tropical Market is hands-down one of my favorite places in the city. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family. The market is well-stocked with authentic African ingredients, snacks, and staples that are hard to find anywhere else in Tulsa.

What really takes it over the top is the attached kitchen—the food is unreal. I tried the peppered fish and smoked chicken, and both were absolutely bursting with flavor. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. Fresh, spicy, and deeply satisfying.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you’re familiar with African cuisine or exploring for the first time, they’re patient and willing to guide you. The whole atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of culture.
