Food was great but service was absolutely horrible. I understand we live In difficult times but how you treat people will always be remembered. Upon ordering our food we are informed we can not have a straw or lid because they are reserved for to go orders only. Though I didn’t agree with the situation we just asked if we could pick up a straw and lid when we leave being that I had a large Sweet tea and planned on being in the car for a bit. Once we finished our food and was ready to leave my wife asked for the straw and lid. The lady we have been dealing with handed her a lid and walked off. I asked for the straw.... she walks behind the counter and grabbed the straw and throws them in my direction. This is absolutely unacceptable. So I’m left with a few take aways: she must hate her job for the request of a straw to make her so angry. Maybe she has to purchase the straws out of her pay.... maybe she has a personal issue with people who choose to dine in? Maybe she needs to work In an environment where she doesn’t have to deal with people. I oversee 200+ employees as the General Manager of my business and not one of them would still be employed if they represented me or the business in that fashion. I hope no one else has to deal with such attitude for something so petty.

Read moreHmm... where will I start? I hesitate to be critical because I can find plenty of good here, but also a little bit of disappointment. Their veggie chili used to be one of my favorites, but now it tastes like something out of a can. The service is usually rude and snooty. You can tell the people don't really want to work there. I asked for salsa, and the staff member just numbly looked at me and said, 'We don't have it.' I thought, okay. So I stated, 'You had a last time that I was here. Did you run out?' And she just flatly answered, 'We don't have it.' My question is, why would you NOT have salsa; especially if you have nachos and veggie spuds? By the way, I did get the nachos and I was not that impressed. The upside here is, the tea has free refills. I personally like the unsweetened brewed tea, but they also have fabulous sweet tea. So, if you're coming here for the tea or the cookies, you will like it! You will just have to let the rude service (and lack of salsa) roll off your back.*UPDATE as of March of 2018. McAlister's has officially earned one more star from me when I visited there the server actually served us at the table and was friendly and courteous and helped me get some nachos under $2 from the kid menu I was impressed still no salsa but that's okay :-) I was full and happy as I...
Read moreI give it a three star well this particular restaurant at three star rating because the food is great the customer service is okay however when I went into is establishment and paid for my food they asked me if I wanted my change well now keep in mind that there is no signs anywhere in this establishment that says we do not have change please pay with debit card or credit card or exact change. Now I'm the type person that will donate my change to folds of Honor wounded warrior program St Jude's Ronald McDonald House I mean you name it I I will donate change on my own volition and of my own free will do not just assume that people do not want their change back period once I got my tea she handed it to me and said here's your half sweet have fun sweet tea and I looked at her and said no I ordered this sweet tea with peach added to it which was charged for and was on my receipt she acted as if it put her out to do her job now I'm not saying all of the employees are like that but the particular one that I dealt with definitely needs to get a grip on customer service because the customers are what pays your paycheck. I will continue to frequent McAlister's deli at other locations but I will not be going back to that...
