Pepper's Grill — Restaurant in Tulsa

We usually love this place but yesterday we had the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. It took an hour to get our food and once we finally had the food, the grilled chicken was still raw inside. I felt terrible for the waitresses because they were the ones having to suffer and keep apologizing to the customers. The manager was supposedly in the kitchen helping but I'm not sure with what. Not once did the manager come out to apologize. He kept sending the waitress back to do it and then when we asked to speak to the manager he sent to hostess out to apologize and let us know that our food was comped. I personally had a burger and it was so well done that it was hard to bite. We found it very insensitive and pretty low that the manager seemed to refuse coming out to check on the guest and kept throwing his employees under the bus. They didnt seem any busier than normal and seemed to have enough kitchen help so we were not sure why he would have the waitress/hostess to come out and tell us he was to busy in the kitchen. We are regulars to this place and this 1 visit might have ruined it for a while. I will say, the waitresses were fantastic during the entire ordeal and we could tell how upset they were with how the manager handled the situation. As as we walked in, the restaurant smelled strongly of fish. Their salsa was barely salsa. Just watery, chunky tomato bits. I ordered a mixed drink, and there were three dead bugs in my drink. It took 10mins to get the drink changed. My spouse ordered the burrito, and it was so soggy from the grease, and the bell peppers were not cooked. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla with rice and beans, and the rice was hard, burnt (I could tell I got the bottom of the pot), and flavorless. The menu claimed to have pico de gallo inside my quesadilla...there were only huge tomato slices inside. The waitress only came by to check on us ONCE after the bugs in drink ordeal. We told her how disappointed we were in this establishment. She said she wished we could of told her this earlier, but unfortunately, there is nothing that could be fixed in this restaurant. We only ate a few bites, we just wanted our check and to leave as soon as possible. Everything was overpriced, flavorless and not cooked properly. We will not come back here again. Low quality ingredients and dirty restaurant. My burger tasted and looked like it was cooked in my highschool cafeteria rubbery and way too greasy. My friend was asked “is Kraft box Mac n cheese okay?” When he asked for a side of mac n cheese with his chicken strips. Mind you, the chicken strips looked more like chicken bones and were oddly colored. Green beans straight from the can no seasoning. Skip this restaurant and make food at home. Better than paying 20 bucks to sit at an uncleaned table next to a drafty window eating a rubbery burger with Kraft Mac n cheese.

Do NOT believe any of these 5 or 4 star reviews. This food is BAD and a word that comes to mind might even be RANCID. The chips are cold and flavorless too, bagged chips from the store are better. The only plus was the waitstaff is kind and they serve bottled beer which they haven’t been able...
