Rise Soufflé – Tulsa, Oklahoma Preview: “Rise Soufflé blends French charm with fine dining, offering a whimsical experience.” Final Score: 77/100 (Above Average) Introduction Rise Soufflé Wine & Bistro specializes in the French delicacy, the soufflé, originally popularized by Marie-Antoine Carême. Rise offers savory and sweet versions in a charming setting. Originating in Texas, its Tulsa location at Utica Square carries its signature whimsical dining experience. Does Rise meet the expectations of Tulsa’s culinary scene? Let’s find out. Atmosphere Rise Soufflé exudes a cozy yet refined French countryside vibe with rustic accents, vintage art, and soft lighting. The open kitchen invites diners to connect with the culinary process, making it perfect for relaxed, intimate meals. Service Service was collaborative and attentive. General Manager Brian and Chef Jake Robinson engaged with guests, adding personal touches to the experience. However, service didn’t quite reach excellence. Dining Bread: Presented with a guillotine, the bread service was playful but slightly impractical, resulting in smashed slices. Still, it was good with unsalted butter. Cheese Plate: Featuring truffle-infused cheese, goat cheese, and manchego, the plate included well-paired accompaniments like figs and pecans. Marshmallow Soup: A carrot-tomato bisque with goat cheese soufflé. Slightly sweet and under-seasoned, but enjoyable. Artichoke Andrée: A tangy artichoke dish, but difficult to eat due to its fibrous leaves. French Onion Soup: A standout, perfectly balanced with rich broth and sweet onion flavors. Truffle Mushroom Soufflé: Balanced but deflated too quickly. Crab Soufflé: Strong crab flavors and a subtle heat, making this a standout. Sun Dried Tomato and Chèvre Soufflé: Well-balanced but deflated quickly. Herb and Spicy Sausage Soufflé: Tasted like a breakfast dish, pleasant but lacking refinement. Southwest Chicken Soufflé: Underwhelming and underseasoned, with a cold green chili sauce that didn’t complement the dish well. Tara’s Escargot Soufflé: Overpowered by garlic, leaving little room for other flavors. Raspberry Soufflé: Perfectly executed, with vibrant raspberry notes and balanced sweetness. Chocolate Soufflé: Another classic success, well-balanced and indulgent. Bread Pudding Soufflé: Overpowered by egg flavor, with faint spice notes. Apricot Soufflé: Tangy but too acidic, lacking balance. Praline Pecan Soufflé: The standout, with perfectly balanced flavors of caramel and pecan, topped with boozy caramel sauce. Summary Rise Soufflé offers a whimsical, niche dining experience that fits well in Utica Square. The service and atmosphere were above average, but the food ranged from average to excellent, with the soufflés providing consistent, crowd-pleasing flavors. A perfect spot for a special occasion or a fun outing, Rise delivers a unique dining experience.

I recently visited the new Rise location at Utica Square, and WOW -- what an experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt like l'd been transported straight to France. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, with twinkle lights in the trees and every little detail in the décor carefully thought out to create a cozy, French-inspired vibe. When you enter, there's a charming little store filled with handmade items, perfect for finding a unique gift or just treating yourself. It sets the tone beautifully for what feels like a mini escape from Tulsa right in the heart of Utica Square. Now, let's talk about the food! If you go, you HAVE to try the "marshmallow soup" -- don't worry, it's not actually marshmallows! It's a delightful savory soup that's playful and delicious, and it's a must-try. The soufflés, whether you go for an entrée or dessert, are amazing. They're light, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, truly a taste of French cuisine done right. I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and already planning my next visit! Whether you're here for a meal, dessert, or just a little shopping in the front store, Rise at Utica Square offers a unique and delightful escape that I can't recommend enough.

Impeccable; service, ambience, food & staff. Was a privilege to go for their soft opening and anticipate they will do very well with such exceptional service especially in Utica Square. Nice well balanced wine list and while they specialize in soufflés they do offer other dishes for meals. The French onion soup was done very well. Most other places don’t caramelize the onions enough and usually over salt but not here, delicious! ( a lil brandy to finish it off would’ve added a lil zest but that’s my preference) Also had the Jambon & Gruyère soufflé which also was delicious. Finished it off with classic chocolate soufflé. Just right amount of balance of chocolate & sweetness, the soufflé sits on lighter side of chocolate taste but the sauce that accompanies it sets it off perfectly. They have the basics down wonderfully & then complete their experience with the finer details. Recycled bottles used as glassware, unique linen napkins, handmade Amish dish ware, bread knife and wood cutting board. Definitely has that authentic chic French bistro feel. You can tell much went into the planning of this restaurant. Highly recommend and definitely will return.

Bonjour, my dear Foodie Friends! Today, I find myself back at Rise Soufflé in Tulsa, a charming spot that has captured my heart with its ethereal soufflés and delightful ambiance. While my last visit was a symphony of savory delights, today I ventured into the realm of sweet endings, indulging in their renowned bread pudding and a freshly brewed French press coffee. Rise Soufflé, as you may recall, is nestled in Utica Square, a haven of culinary delights. The restaurant itself exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely afternoon treat. The décor is chic and cozy, with soft lighting and tasteful accents that create a truly enchanting setting. Ah, the bread pudding! A classic dessert that, when done right, can transport you to culinary heaven. Rise Soufflé's rendition was a masterpiece of textures and flavors. The bread was perfectly soaked in a rich custard, creating a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The addition a hint of cinnamon, elevated the dish to new heights. It was a symphony of sweetness and warmth, a true comfort food that soothed the soul. And what better accompaniment to this delectable dessert than a freshly brewed French press coffee? The aroma alone was enough to awaken the senses. The coffee was rich and robust, with a smooth and velvety texture. It was the perfect complement to the sweet and creamy bread pudding, cleansing the palate and leaving me feeling utterly satisfied. Rise Soufflé, my dear Foodie Friends, has once again proven its culinary prowess. From their heavenly soufflés to their delightful desserts, every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. The service, as always, was impeccable, attentive, and knowledgeable. If you find yourself in Tulsa and craving a sweet ending to your culinary journey, I wholeheartedly recommend Rise Soufflé's bread pudding and French press coffee. It's a delightful treat that will leave you feeling warm, fuzzy, and utterly content. Bon appétit, my dear...

I want to be honest in my evaluation. The food at this restaurant is truly good, and the apple dessert was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. However, for me, etiquette and protocol at the table are fundamental aspects of the dining experience. I came to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was a complete chaos.

The server who attended to us was very kind and made a genuine effort to provide good service, but I don't believe he possesses the necessary skills to work in a restaurant of this caliber. He had no knowledge of wines, and the restaurant also lacked a sommelier to come to our table and offer guidance.

Additionally, the service was slow; we had to remind him several times to clear our plates. At one point, he jokingly offered to sell us everything on the table, such as dishes and cloth napkins, which led us to laugh at the situation, as it felt more like being in a market.

I understand that the server was likely nervous, and I don’t judge him; he did his best. However, the responsibility lies with the restaurant for not having staff who meet higher standards of service and etiquette. It’s not about pity; it’s about receiving the level of attention that corresponds to their pricing.

I hope these observations help the restaurant improve in the future because the food deserves a dining experience that matches...
