I don't like to give a negative review, but I feel it necessary. I know some restaurants are having trouble since the pandemic but some customer service training may be in order. Patrons are frustrated also. Having said that, Trey's bar and grill was new to us. We decided to try the restaurant on Saturday, October 9th. Our local newspaper gave the restaurant a good review. The food was very good. I ordered the hamburger and my husband ordered the theta burger. We also ordered the chili cheese burger to go for our son. There was obviously a miscommunication between the server and myself. Without going into great detail. We ended up with the wrong to go item. In hind sight, I should have checked to make sure it was correct. We did not realize that we got the wrong item until we got home. My son was very disappointed so my husband called the restaurant. The server argued with my husband that was what we ordered. The server didn't write the order down, so I guess that may have created even more problems. My husband took the wrong item all the way back to the restaurant. It took quite a while for the correct item to be fixed making my husband a bit upset. So have the server repeat the order back to you and check your to go items before you leave the restaurant. Kind of like...
Read moreThe food was fantastic. I had someone eating in the restaurant order the Chili Cheese Burger to go for me, however, they were given a "Bixby" cheese steak. We didn't realize the error until I had opened the box at home, and was incredibly disappointed. It's my understanding that the order for the chili cheese burger was very clear, particularly because there were special add-ons which wouldn't make sense for a cheesesteak to have.
Upon returning the incorrect order, we were told that they'd not made a mistake. A simple apology or even merely recognition of the mistake would've gone significantly further than being confrontational. This resulted in a 20-30 minute wait for the correct order on 10/09/21 after I accompanied the original dinners to the the restaurant.
I don't wish to discount the food. It was incredible. I cannot recommend the "Chris Burger" enough. However, the wait staff needs to be more accepting that they may make mistakes. Having been a waiter in my younger days, I do understand the struggle. This was not an acceptable situation though, particularly based on the confrontational attitude.

Read moreThe appetizer was OK tasting but overpriced for the small serving. My quesadilla was 90% cheese and only a couple of pieces of meat and pepper/onion, I normally wouldn't mind but the cheese had a nasty taste. I only ate half of it.
The worst part of the experience is when we first complained the server said "ok" and walked off. She also told us a manager was not present because they're a small locally-owned business and the manager is too busy to be there often because she's pregnant and in nursing school. What does any of that have to do with my food sucking? When I told the server what I specifically didn't like about the food she disagreed with me and said it was because of a different ingredient in the food - how can someone else say what I thought tasted bad?
