ALDI — Local services in Bixby

Update January 2025:

This location is one of the remaining few that doesn’t do self checkout. Waiting in line to save money sucks. Please add.

Updated 8/26/2020: Produce has gotten better, but the store is no where near what it used to be. Not as visually appealing, but the prices were SO MUCH BETTER!

Update 8/20/2019: After their store redesign the prices went up. They are now worse than Costco in every competitive category. Most disappointing is the quality of their produce has gone way down. I believe this is because no one is buying their more expensive produce and it is rotting on the shelf.

What I don't understand is the store in Jenks has rock bottom prices on milk and produce and the store features the modern design. Why does a store redesign cause the prices to go up?

Wal Mart is now cheaper on most items, example: salad dressing $1.49 compared to Wal Marts great value brand at aprox. .95cents, Aldi's old price.New store looks nice but has poor layout compared to the previous store. ie: like items all over store. Price increases, I don't understand how an item (heat n serve b'fast sausages) can go from .99 cents to $1.30 a 30%+ increase! I used Aldi aprox. 98% for groceries now about 2%. I wish we had a Lidl store , Aldi would have to sharpen the pencil on pricing!!!! I have always been happy with the quality on almost all items, except produce can be iffy. UPDATE...... Recently went back to Aldi's and was pleasantly surprised! Lots and lots of items have new reduced prices. Deep discounts on items all over the store, such as spaghetti sauce was $1.49 now.85cents. This was over the holidays and I thought maybe this was a temporary thing. I went back early January and the prices were still reduced. Way to go Aldi. I hope this is a permanent. . 5...

So let me preface this with the fact the my family and I love Aldi. We shop ALMOST exclusively there. But this particular location on this particular evening. Corporate needs to train these folks better. I had to pick up 2 things that we forgot when we went shopping earlier in the day. I parked 3 minutes before closing with my 2 kids. Had them out of the truck and in front of the doors at 7:58. But I was too late evidently. Right as I finished getting my kids out and start walking toward the front door, I saw a young employee sprint to the front, lock the door, and sprint away.

Listen, I get that last minute customers can be annoying. But you cannot close earlier than your posted time if you want to keep customers. That was pathetic behavior. I am not proud of how annoyed I actually am right now. Maybe it was because I was corralling my 2 and 4 year old and against all odds made it to the store before closing. Or so I...
