Ah, Foodie Friends, gather 'round! Your intrepid reporter, yours truly, has just returned from a rather… expeditious culinary adventure at the Wendy's establishment nestled at 4840 South Memorial Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Now, while this wasn't quite the boeuf bourguignon I might whip up in my own humble kitchen, it presented a curious little study in the art of the frozen confection. You see, Wendy's has conjured up a "Girl Scout Thin Mint Vanilla Frosty," and the very name itself sparks a bit of intrigue, doesn't it? The marriage of that classic, oh-so-minty cookie with the creamy, dependable Frosty… it's a bold proposition! Upon receiving this frosty creation, I must say, the essence of the Thin Mint was indeed present. That delightful whisper of peppermint, that hint of cocoa – it was all there, clinging to the vanilla base like a well-loved beret on a Parisian artist. However, and here's where your discerning palate must pay attention, it seems the integration was… shall we say… aspirational rather than fully realized. My Frosty arrived with a distinct layer of that Thin Mint-y goodness artfully swirled atop the vanilla. Now, a lesser epicure might be dismayed. "Sacre bleu!" they might cry, "It's not properly melangé!" But I, ever the pragmatist, simply reached for the provided spoon – a most sensible utensil, I must add, with a handle of commendable length, allowing for a proper excavation of the frosty depths. And with a few deliberate stirs, voilà! The minty magic began to permeate the vanilla, creating a harmonious, if self-engineered, blend. One does ponder, though, why the Wendy's artisans didn't take that extra little step in the back kitchen. A quick whir with the proper machinery, and the result would be a symphony of mint and cream from the very first spoonful. Perhaps it's a matter of efficiency, or maybe they trust us, the discerning consumers, to take on this crucial final step ourselves. In any case, the long-handled spoon proved a worthy ally in this endeavor. Beyond the frosty itself, the ambiance of the establishment was… well, it was a Wendy's. Functional, brightly lit, and, I must commend them, remarkably clean. A tidy lobby is always a welcome sight, wouldn't you agree, Foodie Friends? And the staff! Oh là là, the friendliness! Each and every person I encountered offered a smile and a cheerful word. It warms the cockles of one's heart to be greeted with such genuine warmth, even when one is merely procuring a frozen dessert. So, the Girl Scout Thin Mint Vanilla Frosty at this particular Wendy's? The potential for greatness is certainly there. The flavor profile is spot on, a delightful homage to that beloved cookie. The do-it-yourself mixing aspect, while not ideal, is easily remedied with the provided implement. And the cleanliness and affability of the staff? Magnifique!
Bon appétit, and until our next culinary escapade, keep those...
Read moreI visited this location recently and needless to say it was the worst experience for fast food!!!! On my lunch break which I had an hour went in to have some good food that was it. Upon taking my order I got a chicken sandwich spicy a large fry large drink the location was not that busy inside there was literally no one inside but me my fiance and two other people the drive-thru was full and they were pumping out orders. IT took them 10 minutes to make my chicken sandwhichs but they we're just sitting there. I approached the front I said hey how long for chicken sandwiches she says oh they're right here you can take em to the table we're still waiting for your Fry's, I said okay I'll take a seat still no fries. At this point people are walking in trying to get their order and noone is at the front the cashier walks off to the back smiles talks to the other staff as I wait for two large fries. She then places a fry inside another customer's bag I asked were those my fries she said no we're still waiting on yours I said , but he just came in after me at least 10 minutes after me why am I still waiting for fries!!!! at this point I'm pissed and I'm like just go ahead and give me my money back the manager Mark comes over with the attitude no apologies just excuses where's the ticket just give her money back no apology nothing so I started to let him know how I really felt. I'm sick of restaurants like Wendy's they think it's okay to talk down to people because we spend maybe 10 $15 on food or more and yet there's no consequences no sorries for or from their staff. People think oh it's just fast food get over it. Yes it's fast food it's also my time my money and everything else I and if it didn't matter they wouldn't be working there they wouldn't wake up everyday to have a job they would care less. I would appreciate these low grade restaurants took time in the quality of service just as much as you are about the food. Wendy's is not all that great it's not the best restaurant in the world nor it's the worst in my opinion of staff at this particular location are low grade low maintenance and...
Read moreIf you want to talk to me like I'm a Karen then a Karen I shall be. So here come the reviews and I've already emailed corporate. Worst customer service from ANY fast food restaurant I've ever encountered and that's saying a lot. I recently went through the drive through to order a diet coke and a baked potato. The young man at the drive through informed me they were out of Diet Coke. I don't know how they were out of Diet Coke. It seems like this location has supply issues too. I said ok and got the caffeine free version. I was then asked to pull around front to wait for my potato. I sat for several minutes and then walked inside, irritated that I had to wait so long for a single potato while I watched other people drive through and leave with their orders. While I was inside, what appeared to be a manager came out and told me it would be 10 minutes on my potato. I asked why it would take 10 minutes for a potato when I can microwave one for 5 and it would be done. Instead of offering any kind of explanation as to why they can't produce a potato in 10 minutes she immediately started antagonizing me asking "do you want the potato or not" then complaining to other people that she wasn't supposed to be at work that day. I said fine return my money back. Then she walked off with another customer. While the other two workers were assisting me she came back inside and immediately started trying to antagonize and intimidate me again. I told her they were handling the issue then she loudly announced that she wasn't going to help because they had it. This manager does not seem to be able to address unhappy customers and does want to be called into work on her days off. I still have no answer as to why it was taking so long for a potato... they either had them or didn't. I was told it would take a couple of days to get the refund to my card. No...
