Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Tulsa

I’ve had Zaxby’s at a different location and it was amazing. So my boyfriend and I went tonight and were completely disappointed in it all. They were not busy at all yet it took them 10-15 minutes to bring us our food. Fine whatever. They forgot part of my meal. We were going to ask for it when an employee (I believe to be the manager) came by and offered us free wings. We declined and asked for what I was missing. (Toast. I love toast). She brought it to the table very quickly. One of our ranch packets was already open so we put it aside and did not use it. We ordered the traditional wings and the bones were ice cold! The meat was warm but the bone was so cold, if the chicken was properly cooked the bone would not have been cold. I’ve worked in food The food has to be properly cooked and you know it by the temperature. Clearly it was not cooked all the way. We stopped eating and left. Also the atmosphere of the whole place was just not well. The staff was unfriendly and didn’t seem to know anything. There was also a group of people there for a fundraiser of some sort and they were asking for people to donate their receipts. That’s fine if they were to only do it while people were standing inline before ordering. However they were badgering people that were already sitting and eating for their receipts. My girlfriend and I had ordered Zaxby’s from a different location and loved it, so we stopped by on a Tuesday night around 6:20.

It was our first experience in the store and we enjoyed it as we walked in. We ordered and sat down. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive and they weren’t busy, which isn’t terrible and I can’t complain too much as they seemed to be working hard on something in the back. When we got our food we noticed that my girlfriend didn’t get her toast, so before I went to ask for it the manager approached our table and offered extra wings, apparently someone didn’t want them and she was offering it to us. We politely declined and asked for our toast, which we received. Upon further inspection the wings we got were cold at the bone, the meat was warm at the top at best. One of our ranch cups was already open when we got it as well. And after this a lady was going around for a fundraiser, apparently if you dropped your receipt in a box at the register you would donate some of your total. Well she was going around to people already eating and asking them to get up and put their receipts in that box, we thought that was a little strange.

With the cold food, opened containers and strange staff it’s hard to recommend going to this location. We will probably stick to ordering from a...

I'm not a big chicken sandwich person, but my boyfriend ranted and raved at how good it was. I ordered the kickin chicken sandwich. It was okay... And that's just my personal opinion, as mentioned I'm not the biggest chicken Sandwich person. The location was clean and the condiments bar was stocked well. The reason for the 5 star rating was the cashier. His name was Scott, if this is reviewed by anyone of substantial importance to this franchise... He was the absolute friendliest person I have ever come across in the fast food industry. Not annoyingly friendly where it was intrusive or over the top, he was very knowledgeable of the products he offered and just put a smile on his face. He was patient and thorough. People these days have no idea what good customer service is. He was amazing and that is why I ranked it 5 stars. Need to have a smile on your face? Go to this location and ask for Scott to help you.
