Acapulco Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Tupelo

Visited several months ago while in town and we really enjoyed it. However, EXTREMELY disappointed this time!! I ordered the spinach quesadilla and it was TERRIBLE!!! First, it was served extremely too hot! I waited a couple minutes to take a bite and 2 hours later, my lip and tongue still feel scorched and hurting. I had to open it up to cool and still took over 10 minutes to cool to an edible temperature (and I have a high tolerance to hot food!). My other family members were done eating by the time I could try again. When it finally did cool enough, it was so very salty! Way too salty to eat. I don’t think I’ve ever not been able to eat a restaurant meal due to too much salt. So I basically took 2 bites and that’s it. When they asked if I wanted a to go box, I explained to them how terrible it was and they just took the plate and shrugged. No offer to replace or remove from ticket. I have eaten and enjoyed spinach entrees (enchiladas, quesadillas) at multiple Mexican restaurants and this again was just terrible. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the cheese dip...

Passing thru as a traveler, got checked into our room, & we were very hungry. Looked on Google Maps as usual & found this place right away. Walked in & asked for a chicken burrito supremo. I was asked twice if I wanted beef. So I actually requested chicken THREE times. I HATE ground beef. If they didn't have chicken, I should've been told so. I got back to the hotel room discovered it was ground beef & not the chicken I ordered & paid for. I tossed it into the trash. And to think I tipped them 25%. I usually never give negative reviews. I've done hundreds. I'm not just being mean here. However I will say this place is extremely clean, in a great location, the waiters appear clean, neat, & well groomed, & service was very fast. But it was not all that busy, it was not packed full of patrons. Getting my order wrong should not have happened. A waste of my time & money. If you order take-out here, check your order...

literally the worst customer service i’ve experienced. even though i ordered my drink right as we were seated (just a soda), it took about ten minutes for it to come out. while i was waiting, we saw our server standing at the bar with another server, obviously pointing at us and talking. my order was taken incorrect and we were given the wrong food 3 times. although when we finally got the correct food it was pretty good, the virgin daiquiri my friend got was lacking in flavor and tasted like straight sugar, rather than mango. overall seemingly bad communication...
