While visiting our fave foodie town, Tupelo MIssissippi we read about CRAVE and thought we would pop in on a hot afternoon. They did not disappoint with their flavorful Frappes and OMG š± Banana Pudding Cake that was a mile high! I donāt even like banana pudding probably because Iām not from the south but I purchased a slice at the request of my hubby whoās bday was yesterday. First, our eyes literally popped out of our head when we saw how this $9 huge piece of cake was plated. It was chilled and beautiful! Then the taste, so moist and flavorful with crushed Nola wafers adorning the top. That crunch added with the banana and layers of banana breadlike cake slathered frosting and garnished with real whipped cream was sinfully delicious. Iām pretty sure something like this is served in heaven. My husband who is very picky about desserts said āthis is one of the best cakes Iāve ever tasted in my life!ā I guess I will be ordering one of these 72hrs in advance next July for his birthday. It was that good. Super friendly staff we talked to Mama Jen for a bit and she told us about other desserts that they make that people rave about at CRAVE. Not surprised this local gem was ranked on of the top places for coffee and sweets in Tupelo. If I could give more stars I would. Stop by there you wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI finally tried this place out. I was planning to order the sausage blueberry biscuit. I asked if they could make the sausage crispy. They told me no because it comes precooked. I shouldāve left at that point. I decided to try just the plain blueberry biscuit with glaze. I was very hopeful, as Iāve heard a lot of people like Crave. The biscuit was very dry. Iām wondering if they come in frozen. I was under the impression that they make everything from scratch. Maybe they will respond to this and explain if they make their pastries fresh or frozen. I got a house coffee. They had two options, Sumatra and Southern Roasted Pecan. I tried the pecan. It was great, however I feel as though this coffee is the same as the coffee at Okolona Express Gas station. It taste identical to a coffee I used to get there daily. I may return to get a cup of coffee, but itās a definite no on the biscuit. The atmosphere was definitely not for me. The decor just isnāt inviting to me. Itās not what I think of when I think of a coffee shop, but thatās truly a matter of opinion. Iām sure it appeals to many. Perhaps one day Iāll find the ideal little coffee shop that opens early, has good breakfast and coffee, and has friendly talkative staff in a great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās a great place for just 2-4 people but they are not accommodating to groups such as my 15 year old daughters birthday party of 9 teenagers. We called ahead and the manager suggested coming early. So 4 of us arrived at 4:35 pm. However, they did not want to serve us until all the group was present but then did allow us to place an order. Then they would not allow 2 tables to be placed together to allow the teenagers to sit together for the birthday even though there were tables available. The kids ate the skillet cookies and then ordered their own specialty drinks. Then we stepped outside to take a group picture under the really cool lights. At that point, our possessions were quickly removed from the tables and the expensive drinks they just ordered were thrown away. Thankfully the teenagers continued to have fun taking pictures and we went to A nearby restaurant for pizza. I wanted to let everyone know that even through this is a popular place for birthday party among young teens, the managers are no longer welcoming parties at this time. Itās my understanding that they are expanding to a larger facility, so maybe they will accommodate...
