American as apple pie.... But I ordered the coconut pie instead

This is small town American as it gets today. A time capsule of the restaurants of ole on main street life: simple menus, simple seating, simple life. It's good to stay grounded to your roots and experience life before cell phones and dishonest news.

I got the steak sandwich... I have to be honest I don't think you can call it that, the sandwich was more tomato than steak. I think it's more of a SLT (Steak Lettuce and Tomato) than a steak sandwich. Don't get me wrong it was good and normally I'm a very picky tomato eater but, it was thick and crisp and refreshing. A very nice and light sandwich for a day when it's 95+ (37c).

For a sweet treat to help beat the heat I got the coconut pie. I'm a nut for coconut. It was great and light and the smell was amazing.

You might have a hard time fitting it into your day with their limited hours but it's worth the squeeze.

I don't get to eat here much because u can easily spend 20 bucks for one person to eat. However, when I do get to eat here it's always so good. I usually go here when I'm craving a salad. They have the best chef salad in Tupelo, MS. It has so many different meats and e erything else but the kitchen sink. I ate here last week. The only thing is they should have added more lettuce this time. Because by the time I got halfway through my salad it was no lettuce only the meats cheeses and other toppings. First time ever having this problem though. I also got a chicken tender to cut up and add to my salad. I also got the potatoe salad this time and I did not care for it. Everyone else seems to like it though. I have had their ribeye sandwhich and patty melt before and they were both really good. If u are craving a good salad though go and try their chef salad. A year ago, I moved to Florida. I was home (Tupelo, MS) for a week. There isn’t a lot to do but eat. I could have dined a lot of places, but I chose Finney’s as one of the places to go with a friend.

This is their chef salad. It comes with ham, turkey, and real bacon bits. I am allergic to red meat. That’s why it’s not on my salad.
