My wife went in there mistaking it for the fabulous bakery a couple of spots down (her first time in both places) and the first thing that came out of old bald man’s mouth (Assyrian guy) was that bathroom was for customers only. My wife informed him she always not planning on using the restroom but that she was looking for the menu. He rudely handed her a menu. My wife then asked him if they sell fresh bread and he answered “no! you must have the wrong place!”. She left menu on the counter and walked out. My wife was well-dressed and we are Mexican (not sure if that had anything to do with rudeness but I sure hope not).
To the owner: not sure if you were the one that gave my wife an attitude but whoever it was, is lucky that I was not around. If you can’t control your emotions or anger, you shouldn’t be working with the public. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll stop by to have a little chat with you and get that...
Read moreMy family and I were really excited to try dessert crepes after our lunch at the sushi restaurant next door. I came in and the old man said " do you know what you want to order" with no smile on his face and I said "no it's my first time" and he pointed to the menu. I flipped open the menu and I hear him say very rudely and pointing at my mother in law who just walked in "YOU CANT EAT THAT IN HERE" “THAT IS NOT ALLOWED” multiple times pointing at her to go box from the sushi restaurant we just had lunch at. Just to be clear, we had no intentions of eating our leftovers inside the creperie but he just ASSUMED and was EXTREMELY rude about it. There was no way we were going to support someone's business who treats a customer this way. It’s interesting that many reviews say the owners are friendly because we did not receive that warmth from him. We walked out immediately and will...
Read moreTo be honest, the food is delicious. The proprietors/cooks are wonderful people. Food alone, is not the solo factor in rating a place. I arrived with my group picked a table, waited 5 minutes for a menu. Ended up grabbing them myself. Slow to moderate chaos, but only 3 people working the grill/register/serving/cleaning, etc. small dining space but many tables were occupied. The table next to us arrived earlier but made no effort to obtain a menu and therefore were served after us.
Our server had to ask ours and another table to reiterate the menus selected, nothing written down, breaking the groove of an in-depth discussion.
Dining out, to me, is a comprehensive experience - not simply food alone. Nothing was a deal breaker here, just expectations not met. Ergo the 4-star review. But if food is the only factor, it would've been a...
