BobaMania Midtown — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

I’m getting a bit frustrated going to this location. Three times in a row now, I have gone in on days in which they offer a promotional deal but then a “mistake” occurs while ringing me up so I can’t utilize said discount. While I don’t mind paying full price for the drinks, if you’re offering a promotional deal it should be honored. Since it has happened so frequently to me now, I may as well just not come in on days they offer a promotional deal. To add, I try my best to make sure it’s the correct category of drink for the deal, and I tell the barista ahead of time I would like to redeem the promotion. However, some issue still occurs. I feel as though it’s not my responsibility as a customer to know all of the ‘ins and outs’ of a promotional deal. If what I am trying to order doesn’t fit, then I should be informed. The downtown boba shop was my favorite place to visit, so I was really upset when they closed down. Since then, I stopped going there for a while because the Midtown location wasn't very convenient for me. However, over the past few days, I returned and found my experience was as good as ever. Today, though, I had the worst experience. The person who prepared my usual Tiger Milk Boba drink made it taste very strange—watery and completely lacking sweetness. So I got a passion fruit pineapple tea with a sub strawberry popping boba. And it's pretty good I don't really taste the pineapple in it I can definitely tell that there's green tea in there the cup is definitely reusable and they pay a lot of money for it. It's definitely made with real passion fruit as there were some seeds in the drink. The reason the service didn't get a five star was because I didn't feel like the lady was very personable she was just there.
