Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

11/18/19 (10:20am) Customer service wise, this is the worst Jack’s that I have been to. Upon walking up to the counter, my boyfriend and I’s cashier asks what we want. I try to ask her about their chicken sandwich (as I’ve never tried it before) and she puts it down into my order as a combo. As to avoid confrontation (because the cashier seemed agitated as it is) , I just went ahead and let my boyfriend order. He orders a chicken tender basket. When she repeats our order back to us, she states that I ordered two Chicken sandwich combos, which I did not. I politely say, “No ma’am, just one chicken sandwich combo”. This seems to have upset her, and she, obviously irritated, said, “Uh no, you said two” She then yelled at the kitchen saying “only do one chicken sandwich combo, the lady ordered two but changed her mind”, harping on the fact that I supposedly said two, when indeed I did not.

Food wise, it’s not as great as the others. Solid 6/10 Probably will return, but...

My girls and I went to Jack's for lunch before their cheer camp. Their service was great!!! Food was great and very hot! I was getting all of our drinks and Mrs. Betty seen I was struggling and came to help me, also she checked on every table to make sure the food was good and to see if anyone needed sauces or a drink refill. She had the most positive attitude and really helped calmed me down bc I was worried about leaving my girls for cheer camp for a week in a different town. All the staff ware very friendly and quick to get our orders out. The place was packed with cheerleaders, moms, coaches, and regular customers but the staff handled it beautifully. Mrs. Betty deserves a raise and some kind of award for being so sweet, kind, and her positivity spread on to everyone else. The other moms with me noticed as well and we all agreed shes a very special lady and needs to be recognized for her great attitude and great customer service! Thank you...

I just encountered one of the worst experiences at Jack's. This is usually my favorite location, however on tonight, that changed. I get it, it's near closing time but doesn't every customer count. I felt rushed through while ordering, I added a fry at the window and the manager rolled her eyes. I asked for ketchup with those and she closes the window, no response. She uttered something to her employee, he looks and laugh. He's wiping down, touches a shake, did not wash his hands. The icing on the cake is to whomever the bagger was checked someone food bare handed, puts it in the bag and then wiped her face. Everyone was unsanitary. So I got the gentleman attention and asked if I could have a refund. He gets the manager, she allowed him to exchange words with me no correction or apology on her behave either because she was trying to complete her count for the night. No thank you, I will...
