DO NOT GO HERE! Let’s start with environment/atmosphere, the music played was an Orchestral music with a loud lasy screaming. This causes an uncomfortable ambiance during our experience. The background music/ noise was too loud that made us uncomfortable . Next, SERVICE: If you are a brown Asian or not Korean or light skinned, DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT. It is May of 2025, And Ofc! You will experience discrimination especially in the DMV area where high number of light skinned Asian are present. I repeat lighter skinned asian. I am a brown, Pacific Islander and I was treated poorly here. The server was Korean, she stepped on my foot and didn’t say sorry. It took 1 hour before she asked for our orders and the dining is not even that busy. She prioritized cleaning the table right next to us and we have not even done our order yet. The cafe was not busy at the moment. She did not even checked us if we need water, as we suffer from the spice of the wasabi. It took way looong before we got our checks to pay. This was May 8th,2025 5:30-6:30pm. Did not check us if we need anything or if any food improvements can be made. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR SERVERS TO TREAT PEOPLE EQUALLY REGARDLESS OF PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OR COLOR. Please expand your awareness. I would like to give Cudos to the Sushi chef for greeting us before we leave. FOOD: Quality and ingredients are good but please toned down and balanced the umami and flavor. Sometimes too much flavor can distract the taste palate with other sushis leaving the customer too full that may not give appreciation to other sushis leaving flavors. Food is great but please balance next time. ALSO, PARKING IS HARD, only 3 slots free dor the cafe, you have to pay $6 for parking, They ahould atleast Validate the parking. I hope this review helps other customers like me. I don’t do reviews but I want to raise awareness in this kind of issues. I HOPE THAT CAFE ILE WILL DO SOMETHING TO IMPROVE ABOUT THIS. THERE ARE PLENTY OF BETTER sushi places around, DO NOT...

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but the customer service at this restaurant needs to be addressed—particularly the behavior of the mature, shorter-statured woman working as the host.
As a DoorDasher, I frequently assist with food deliveries. Occasionally, an order gets canceled before the customer receives it, which requires coordination between the restaurant and DoorDash Restaurant support. When this happened, the host immediately became dismissive and rude, telling me verbatim, “I am good, you can leave!” She clearly did not understand how the process works, but instead of listening, she became increasingly irate. Worse, she started speaking to other employees in her language, seemingly misrepresenting the situation, which led them to approach me in an aggressive manner.
Despite remaining calm and attempting to explain the situation, she repeatedly cut me off, raised her voice, and demanded that I leave as if I were an inconvenience rather than a professional trying to resolve an issue. I even offered to call Dasher support to clarify matters, yet she continued to point at me, speak loudly, and wave me away as if I were unwelcome.
Ultimately, DoorDash support was able to cancel and reprocess the order, ensuring a smooth resolution. However, the way I was treated—dismissed, belittled, and publicly embarrassed—was completely unacceptable. No one deserves to be spoken to or treated as if they are beneath someone else.
To future patrons, be mindful of this host. If she perceives you as unimportant, she may treat you with the same level of disrespect. No customer, delivery worker, or human being deserves to be made to...
Read moreTL;DR: 3.8/5: good value and decent flavors; friendly service
Came here for a friend's birthday lunch and came around 1PM on a Saturday. The space is on the smaller size. There were several tables, and it was overall very nice and quiet. Interior is cute, but I think their original concept was supposed to include a coffee shop section, which seems like it has closed (?).
There was only 1 server, and he was very nice, friendly, and attentive. Even though he was handling all the tables and running food on his own, he was quite attentive and quick.
FOOD: ~Complimentary edamame and seaweed salad: can't mess it up
~Complimentary soup: It was like the Korean corn cream soup that I ate a lot when I was sick. A little too watered down for me
~Sashimi Combo C (4/5): comes with a variety of fish, some premium like chu-toro, ama ebi, and scallop. It seems like the fish was already lightly dressed with soy sauce. For $50 bucks, it was a great value.
~Takikomi gohan (4/5: personal preference): This came with the sashimi combo. When it first came out, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I ate it with the nori, it had a very strong yuzu flavor. I like yuzu in savory dishes, and this was very tasty. Tart and savory. But I can see many people not liking it.
~Spicy yellowtail roll (3/5): basic
~Super Dragon Roll (4/5): Comes with basically a whole slab of eel on the top. It had a lot of different things inside, but didn't taste too muddled
~Tonkotsu ramen (2.9/5): Broth was okay, but it could use some umph. Noodles were nice. Chasu had good flavor but was a little tough.
Overall, the food, vibes, and service were decent. Cute date night spot for...
