Agave — Restaurant in Union City

Dining here is the worst decision you’ll make for a meal. Going here on Saturday was the worst from the very beginning. They absolutely should put on their website that they have a MANDATORY $5 VALET FEE. Their lot has seven cars spaces, so that made no sense and there is zero street parking. The valet guy was not at his station when we arrived, so I didn’t notice the valet sign off to the side…and as I was backing into a parking space, completely oblivious, he bangs on my window and scared the mess out of me. I wound down my window and he proceeds to badger me about not stopping in front, without even apologizing for his rudeness and clearly scaring me. My friend pays the $5, without contesting it, even though we both knew it was ridiculous. He still proceeds to badger her for no reason arguing all by himself bc my friend is politely shaking her head “ok” and walking behind me to the entrance. We get in the restaurant, and as were waiting to be seated, and I’m explaining to the girl at the front desk that he was very rude. Rude valet guy then comes inside, and proceeds to attempt to intimidate me. Imagine a customer service member of the restaurant staff hands crossed in the front of his body, steps to you, asking if there’s a problem in a very antagonistic, bully like manner. We genuinely and innocently did nothing to this guy and if I were with my man he wouldn’t have dared to do any of that. He only did it because we were women. It was horrific. And no one that worked there saw anything wrong with that. Two women about to eat dinner at this restaurant, and they allow the valet guy to harass and intimidate their guests. When I spoke to the manager, she offered no solution. She almost began her sentence with something about the valet which again was confusing bc it had nothing to do with my complaint. The obscene behavior was inexcusable and though she came to our table to ask if we were good she did not treat us any better for the absolutely horrific treatment by the valet, and it was reflected in the poor service and food. I felt bad for my friend who was extremely hungry and was from out of town and that’s the ONLY reason we decided to stay, even though I wanted to leave so badly. We tried to make the best of the situation. But the food was just not good. Steak tacos were dry, the carnita was so incredibly SOGGY it was stomach turning 🤢 and the drinks were subpar. I didn’t even complain, bc now I don’t want anyone to spit in my food. They didn’t have casamigo repasado and didn’t offer and comparable options so I couldn’t have the drink I wanted and they did not give us condiments, or water, we had to ask multiple times for things. They brought the food out separately so my friend was eating for about 15-20 mins before I got mine. We were unable to even drink the drinks so we left them behind because they were just not good. I will never be returning to this restaurant. 0 out of 10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND. From the beginning to end, everything was awful. Oh and let’s not forget, we get the check and they have a $3 CREDIT CARD FEE automatically added to the check. But you don’t even know if we’re paying with credit card or cash. I have never in my life gone to a restaurant that built in a credit card fee, this was my first time. And I dine out, A LOT. They must be broke because they’re looking for every coin they can find. Just awful. So...

This place is horrible, worst place I’ve ever been in. It’s Mother’s Day, I fully understand that it can be busy of course. But the service was bad, the employees was so rude and disrespectful. We ordered appetizers and my 5yr olds cheese burger to come in first before the actual food and my son had to Wait almost 2hrs for his basic cheese burger with fires. Not only did the food come cold and he didn’t even eat it, but they didn’t want to do anything about it. This place is disgusting and the services is bad. I guess happy Mother’s Day to me!!! I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The food is horrible and the service is disrespectful. Worst Mother’s Day. They still charges everything over 300$ for food that never arrived and cold food that never arrived. Save your money...

I choose this place today with expectation of having good quality burrito after a while. But it's the first time I ever had a burrito without beans. I asked for fish and shrimp burrito which they were happy to prepare. But once the food came, it felt that only thing was in the burrito is rice, very few pieces of fish and 4 or 5 shrimp that I paid extra for. I asked cheese willing to pay extra but that didn't happen as well. Gave the check with one amount $X but once they took my credit card, returned it with a receipt with higher price than before, without an explanation. All on all, I really want u guys to succeed, coz we were the only two ppl at the restaurant. But if u give a service like this, don't expect a returning...
