I rated 3 stars due to going to this same restaurant for years with my Son & things being great! However, during this Pandemic I just visited on July 7, 20 & I approached the waitress prior to sitting at an outdoor table if the table had been sanitized. There had not been a sign such as a table topper stating "sanitized", a bottle of sanitizer that may clean the table, or an offer to sanitize a table in front of us. She had not answered my sanitized question at anytime during our visit. My child sat at a table & accepted the plastic menus reused. This was one of his favorite restaurants. He ordered & when she brought our food to the table, she had not offered either of us a plate to enjoy our food. My child grabbed the food that the plastic containers were brought to the table on, so he would be able to eat, assuming the plastic on the plate had been sanitized prior. I requested a plate, the waitress didn't bring it. I waited a super long time & requested a plate again. The sad part, the plate never arrived. In efforts to eat, I had to take a paper napkin & spread on the table in front of me. Place the food on the napkin & eat off that paper. The juices from the food ran through the paper napkin causing the napkin to become rather wet & dripping through to the table. Hmmm, is this sounding like healthy dining? Can the staff articulate responses to adults dining? I began to call the manager week after week & finally reached him today 07/27/20. He refused to do anything at all. In my past experiences the food had been good! Knowing that the coronavirus lives on plastic, cardboard, & stainless for up to 3.5 days from the CDC made this experience not worth it! Our lives are way more valuable both in...
Read moreThis was our first time here after seeing this restaurant on walls a few times. Food was pretty good, service was very friendly and prompt. We had a toddler and were not offered a high chair, which is fine because we always decline anyway. Had to request utensils for her explicitly, and she drank from my water. No mention of a kids menu or any consideration for her, which again is fine, just a little weird. Patrons at the next table were nice and chatted with us.
However, every price on the menu was whited out with nothing filled in. The server had to go check the price on each item we were interested in, and come back to tell us a range the price might be in, not even a precise number. Very strange.
After we placed our orders, the server asked if we would like chips and salsa "as an appetizer." I asked if it was complimentary (which is almost always the case in a Mexican restaurant), just because of the bizarre menu situation. He responded with something like, "Yeah. I mean... it's an appetizer." Definitely started with "yes" or "yeah." I said ok.
At the end of the meal we were presented with a check that included a charge for $5.99 for a small basket of chips and a small bowl of salsa, plus an automatic service charge of 18%, although there were only two adults and one toddler at the table. The total for two burritos and the chips, no beverages, sides, or anything else, was almost $50.
We had to get our toddler home to bed and didn't feel like taking it up with anyone, but not gonna rush back here after this. Seems like they would rather make a few extra bucks on one check and alienate customers than try to get any...
Read moreWent here 3 times. Can’t remember what I ordered. But being a Taco Birria freak I probably tried it at least 2 times as I’m always giving restaurants a 2nd chance to get things right. Being an EC, I understand all the factors that go into a dish and you’re entitled to a bad day, IT HAPPENS! Both times a strike. My third visit; btw I space each visit and go random times to increase the chances of a better outcome when I’m researching a dish, at a particular establishment. The 3rd visit I skipped the Birria. I chose Birria as a benchmark which I will explain my reasoning in my instagrams if you catch them Chef Richard Diamond @ Chefdiamondpresents. Anyway, it was Al Pastor, I was told it was authentic Al Pastor! Long story short …. it was made on a grill. Tried to talk to owner about my experiences the day after my last visit. Tried to explain it was constrictive criticism, not just complaining and that I wanted them to be better at what they do, as I’m local and wanted to enjoy there success. Guess how that went?! Not only was he defensive, but he didn’t offer to make things up as a dissatisfied customer at all. However, thats not what I was looking for anyhow. I wanted opened mindedness to the possibility that it wasn’t my imagination a suggested house dish that was their specialty or maybe bringing the chef out to talk to me? Bottom line is I will not be recommending or returning to this establishment. I also, will not do a negative instagram review. I’m sure after reading the real reviews I’m not the only that feel this way about this place and time usually proves me correct.
